New Selection Procedure in APPSC MAINS exam in (AndhraPradesh Public Service Comission) Group 1, Group 2
  • MAINS Exam new selection Ration 1:15 overtaking 1:50 ratio
  • Selection based on Roster Reservation
  • No More 1:50 ratio of selection
  • Waiting for Andhra Pradesh Government Approval
  • by Mr. Udhay Bhaskar APPSC Chairman

Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) board has decided to change the selection procedure to Mains Exams who are eligible in Prelims exam (screening test). As of now the ratio of selection to APPSC Mains exam is 1:50, now the committee has decided to change the ratio like the ratio followed by Union Public Service Commission (UPPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC). The New ratio proposed by the committee was 1:15. For the selection of Mains exams roster reservation will not be followed.

To know more about by Roster Reservation :

But as per new meeting agenda for Mains Selection Roster reservation will be followed and for each post 12 to 15 candidates (1:12 or 1:15) will be selected. For AEE (Assistant Executive Engineer Posts) which notification has already released the selection procedure will be old process. As the selection ratio is 1:50 in previous process, the selected candidates count has become more. Even the candidates are not available, who are eligible through roster reservation process. So lot of Government posts is been vacant without filling. Unlike the selection process, if the Roster selection Procedure was in prelims only then the filtration of candidates will be done prior to Mains. So the filling of the candidates relevant to the post will be done easily and no more vacant positions.

The Union public service commission (UPPPSC) and Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was following the same process which APPSC board was thinking to opt. The Andhra Pradesh Public Service commission has written requisition to government of Andhra Pradesh and waiting for the approval from the government told by Mr. Udhay Bhaskar Chairman of APPPSC Board in a special interview to Sakshi News Correspondent Hyderabad.
