1) Vinod Rai steps down from IDFC Bank’s board.
- Former Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) of India Vinod Rai has stepped down from private sector lender IDFC Bank’s board.
- He will continue to be the non-executive independent chairman of IDFC Ltd.
- Mr. Rai was on Mumbai- headquarter IDFC Bank board since its inception in October 2015.
- He was appointed as the Chairman of Bank Board Bureau on 28 February 2016. He is also the current chairman of UN Panel of External Auditors and Honorary Advisor to the Railways as well as a member of the Railway Kaya Kalp Council.
- He obtained a master`s degree in Economics from the University of Delhi, and Masters in Public Administration from Harvard University.

- Microsoft founder Bill Gates has topped Forbes` `100 Richest Tech Billionaires In The World 2016` list and maintained his position as the world`s richest person.
- Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg ranked second and third.
- Azim Premji has been ranked at number 13 in the list with total assets worth $16.1 billion. HCL founder Shiv Nadar with total assets of $11.7 billion also made his way to list at number 17.
- Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft, is at the top of the list with net worth of $78 billion.
4) Google Ventures CEO Bill Maris quits.
- Bill Maris, the chief executive and founder of Alphabet Inc’s venture capital arm Google Ventures (GV) has resigned.
- Maris is going to be replaced by current managing director of Google Ventures David Krane.
- Google Ventures (GV) has invested in over 300 companies from life science, healthcare, artificial intelligence, robotics, transportation, cyber security, and agriculture, and more, according to their profile page.
- GV’s major investments include Uber, Slack, online retailer Jet.com, which was recently bought by Wal-Mart for nearly $3 billion, Medium which has grown as a popular blogging platform and more.
5) Putin Dismisses Sergei Ivanov, a Longtime Ally, as Chief of Staff.
- Russian President Vladimir Putin has unexpectedly dismissed his close ally and powerful Chief of Staff Sergei Ivanov, in the highest level change inside the Kremlin in several years.
- Ivanov, who served with Putin in the Soviet-era KGB spy agency, was replaced by his deputy Anton Vaino.
- Vaino, ex-diplomat, has served as his deputy since 2012. He is the grandson of a Soviet-era Communist Party boss of the Baltic republic of Estonia.
