1) President presents A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Ignite Awards to students.

  • President Pranab Mukharjee presented Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam IGNITE awards 2015 to a total of 40 school students of 27 districts from 18 states.
  • The awards were given away for 31 grass root innovations at the prestigious Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad (IIM-A).
  • The awards were given out to young children who had come up with innovative products or ideas for ease of daily lives.
2) Award for Gramener.
  • Hyderabad-based data visualization firm Gramener received the Aegis Graham Bell Award 2015.
  • Union Minister of State for Development of North Eastern Region Jitender Singh presented the award initiated by Aegis School of Business, Data Science and Telecom & Convergence India.
  • The award recognises innovation in the field of TIME (telecom, internet, media and edutainment).

 

3) Pulin Kumar adidas India gets prestigious ``General Counsel Award`` 2015 by INBA.
  • Pulin Kumar, Group Senior Legal and Compliance Director of Adidas India, was conferred with the Indian National Bar Association`s (INBA) General Counsel of the year 2015 - Retail Award in New Delhi.
  • Pulin Kumar has been conferred with the award for his contribution to the legal field in and outside India for more than 21 years.
About Indian National Bar Association`s (INBA):
 
  1. The Indian National Bar Association has constituted 12 awards categories for general counsel in the field of technology, infrastructure, real estate, retail, corporate, privacy and data protection, law firm and insurance.
  2. INBA Awards also acknowledge top women lawyers, young women general counsel, young emerging lawyers and global general counsel.
  3. Every year, INBA invites nominations for the awards.
  4. The jury panel for consideration of the awards constitutes renowned people from the legal field.

4) Tech Mahindra bags the Forbes Top 100 Middle East – Global Meets Local 2015 Award.

  • Tech Mahindra, a specialist in digital transformation, consulting, and business re-engineering solutions has been awarded the prestigious `Forbes Top 100 Middle East – Global Meets Local 2015` Award.
  • The award was presented at a special event hosted by Forbes Middle East in Dubai.

5) Lifetime Achievement Award for Naseeruddin Shah at Dubai fest.
  • Veteran Bollywood actor Naseeruddin Shah was honoured with the lifetime achievement award at the Dubai International Film Festival (DIFF).
  • Besides, Egyptian actor Ezzat Al Alayli, award-winning French-Tunisian actor Sami Bouajila and French actress Catherine Deneuve were also honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award at the festival.
