 Nicole Barr Scores Higher On IQ Test than Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking.

  • A 12-year-old schoolgirl in Britain has achieved an IQ score of 162 on the Mensa IQ test, higher than the famous genius physicists, Albert Einstein and Stephen Hawking, whose IQ scores are 160.
  • Nicole Barr, a member of the traveling Roma community and student at Burnt Mill Academy, Harlow, Essex, scored 162 points, placing her among the top one percent most intelligent people in the entire world.
2) Manbir Kaur becomes first Sikh girl in Pakistan to top Class 10 Exam.
 
  • 15-year-old Manbir Kaur has become the first girl from the minority Sikh community to top the matriculation exam in Pakistan.
  • She has made the Sikhs in Pakistan feel proud by topping her Matriculation exam by scoring 1023 marks out of 1100.
3) Vizag Gitam foundation Award for Dr. A. Sivathanu Pillai.
 
  • Sivathanu Pillai, an eminent scientist and DRDO former chief controller conferred with the GITAM Foundation Award at the 35th Foundation Day celebrations of GITAM University at Vishakhapatnam.
  • He will be presented with a plaque and a cheque for 10 lakh as part of the award. He will deliver the keynote address on the occasion.

 

4) Forbes magazine’s inaugural list of 20 richest tech billionaires has two Indians.

  • Wipro Chairman Azim Premji has been ranked 13 and HCL founder Shiv Nadir has been ranked 14.
  • Microsoft’s bill gates has been ranked first in the list followed by Oracle Chairman Larry Ellison and Jeff Bezos of Amazon.
  • Facebook co-founder mark zuckerberg stood at fourth place followed by google co-founder Larry Page at five and Alibaba chief Jack Ma at seven.

4) International Crimes Tribunal awards death sentence to Razakar Sheikh Sirajul Hoque.
 
  • Sheikh Sirajul Haque alias `Siraj Master` was given the death penalty with Chairman of the three-member International Crimes Tribunal 1 Justice Enayetur Rahim for his crimes against humanity during 1971 Bangladesh liberation war.
  • The tribunal also sentenced fellow convict Khan Akram Hossain, a member of the Razakar force under Haque`s command, to imprisonment until death for his role in the killing of about 50 people in southwestern Bagerhat district in 1971.

5) Coca-cola India signs with Sourav Ganguly for 3-years as social ambassador.

  • Beverage maker Coca-Cola India has roped in cricketerturned-commentator Sourav Ganguly as its social ambassador for a three-year deal ending in 2017, replacing Sachin Tendulkar, the country`s most famous cricketer, whose contract ended last year.
  • Ganguly will lead Coca-Cola`s football programmes and run various grassroots football activities.
  • He has also volunteered to be a part of the Coca-Cola Support My School movement - a programme that promotes the cause of healthy schools.
6) Acharya Dev Vrat sworn-in as Governor of Himachal Pradesh.
 
  • He is 27th Governor and 18th regular Governor of the Himachal Pradesh.
  • Vrat took his oath of office in Sanskrit and it was administered by Chief Justice of the Himachal High Court, Justice Mansoor Ahmad Mir.
