What is Roster Reservation and to whom is it useful in APPSC Group I & II,Mains and Prelims Selection?

 
Reservation registers / roster registers are only an aid to ensure that Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes get quota reserved for them. These registers/roster registers do not determine seniority
 
According to Roster reservation it is clear that recruitment will be held based on caste that too particularly those who belong to SC, ST and other back ward classes. In this process seniority is not considered.
 
What will be the Quota for Roster Reservation?
 
Distribution of vacancies among roster points is subject to variation and confirmation from the Unit Officer/ Appointing authority and respective board. For instance in APPSC itself the roster reservation varies for AEE posts, Group-2 Posts, Group-1 posts etc;
 

How to prove that you are eligible for Roster Reservation?
 
It is a generic process for all recruitment posts to prove the eligibility: It is as follows:
 
Community Certificate issued by the competent authority in terms of G.O.Ms No. 58, SW (J) Dept., should be submitted at appropriate time. As per General Rules for State and Subordinate Service Rules, Rule 2 (28) Explanation:- No person who professes a religion different from Hinduism shall be deemed a member of scheduled caste. Candidates have to produce Original documents and other particulars on the day of verification date itself for verification as and when required and called for. If candidate fails to produce the certificates if any one, and the particulars furnished in the Application do not tally with the Original documents produced by the candidate, the candidature will be rejected/disqualified without any further correspondence

Does a woman who belong SC, ST have women reservation? 

 
The Reservation to Women will apply as per General Rules and Special Rules

Qualifying marks under Roster Reservation Process:
 
The Qualifying marks of SC / ST varies from exam to exam.
 
The general minimum qualifying marks for selection of SCs, and STs is 30%. Sometimes qualifying marks are relaxable in the case of SC/ST on the discretion of the Commission. So it is advised to go through the notification of particular examination for Qualifying Marks.
