Google To Tie Up With NCERT, Launch YouTube Channels In 29 Indian Languages

Google has expanded its educational initiatives in India through a strategic partnership with the National Council for Educational Research and Training (NCERT). This partnership will help bring quality education to even more students by rolling out YouTube channels for grades 1-12 in content across 29 Indian languages including Indian Sign Language. Moreover, Google has also collaborated with NPTEL to make available credentialed courses on YouTube, enabling certification for learners. This launch builds on Googles decades-long commitment to increasing access to education through digital tools, AI and collaborations with Indian organizations.
NCERT and Google Collaboration for Multilingual Education
Through its partnership with NCERT, Google aims to make vital digital education for students with varying learning needs and speaking different dialects of a language all accessible through a unified forum. The effort will also expand effective learning content, making it available in multiple formats and in languages that young people can easily engage in so students, teachers, and parents can find content they can easily consume no matter the language. The content will be the widest-range subjects enabling India education system with making education inclusive, by bridging the language barrier.
Leveraging AI for Enhanced Learning
Google use of AI further enhances the educational experience. Using video content semantic analysis, AI detects and extracts important concepts and supplies relevant definitions and pictures from Google Knowledge Graph. This feature will assist learners in a variety of subjects, including biology, physics, and chemistry, providing instant explanations and enriching the video content with additional resources.
Expanding Educational Opportunities with NPTEL
Along with NCERT, Googles partnership with National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning (NPTEL) brings certified courses to YouTube. These courses are available in a variety of topics, ranging from pure MST to rocket propulsion, which allow learners to obtain certifications from reputed IITs.
