What is Post-Matric Scholarship in AP?
The Post Matric Scholarship Scheme in Andhra Pradesh is a fee reimbursement and maintenance allowance scheme for students belonging to economically weaker sections, particularly from SC, ST, BC, Minority, Kapu, EBC, and Disabled categories, who pursue education beyond Class 10.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Domicile: Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
- Education: Must have passed 10th (SSC) and be studying Intermediate, Degree, PG, ITI, Polytechnic, Professional or Technical courses.
- Attendance: Minimum 75% attendance in each quarter is mandatory.
- Income Limit:
- – SC/ST: Family income should be less than ₹2.5 lakh/year.
- – BC/EBC/Kapu/Minorities: Income should be less than ₹1 lakh/year.
- – Disabled students: Income should be less than ₹1 lakh/year.
What It Covers:
1. Tuition Fee Reimbursement (RTF):
Full or partial fee reimbursement for eligible students in government-aided, private unaided, and professional colleges.
2. Maintenance Allowance (MTF):
Monthly allowance for hostel or day scholar expenses.

- – Professional courses: ₹1000–₹1500/month

Steps:
1. Register via Jnanabhumi portal.
2. Fill and submit J-SAF (Scholarship Application Form) online.
3. College principal verifies and submits it digitally.
4. Track application status on the same portal.
Important Timeline:
Usually applications open shortly after admissions (July–October), and payments are disbursed quarterly or biannually.
