The Cyprus Institute is offering two scholarships for its PhD program in Computational Sciences Co-funded by the EU H2020 VI-SEEM Project. Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to study at The Cyprus Institute, applying their research towards the activities of the EU H2020 VI-SEEM project.
The Computational Sciences Doctoral program educates potential scholars in mathematical modelling and in computational methods and techniques needed to solve complex scientific and engineering problems, as well as in management and visualization of complex data sets. Doctoral candidates are trained in the use of state-of-the-art computational methods and advanced computer technologies, and perform research within internationally recognized research teams in the fields of inter alia Novel Computer Technologies, Lattice QCD, Climate Modelling, Digital Cultural Heritage, Computational Chemistry, Computational Fluid Dynamics with Applications in Energy Medical Imaging and Computational Biology.
VI-SEEM aims at creating a unique Virtual Research Environment (VRE) in Southeast Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean (SEEM), in order to facilitate regional interdisciplinary collaboration, with special focus on the scientific communities of Life Sciences, Climatology and Digital Cultural Heritage.
