SN Bose Scholars Program announced for 2014 intake
INTRODUCTION
Science and Engineering Board (SERB), Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India together with Indo-U.S.
Science and Technology Forum (IUSSTF) and the University of Wisconsin-Madison (UW) has organized S.N. Bose Scholars Program
2014 SN Bose Scholarship is a student exchange program between premier institutions in India and the United States This Scholarship
is named after Satyendra Nath Bose (1894 - 1974), known to be an Indian physicist for his work on quantum mechanics across the globe
The class of particles that obey Bose-Einstein statistics, Bosons, was named after him The program is envisaged to: Through SN Bose
Scholarship, Indian students are provided with an excellent opportunity to experience transformative and dynamic research facilities
in top U.S Institutions Students will have an exemplary experience by having a direct communication with the next generation pioneers
and innovators in science and technology and; build long-term R&D linkages and collaborations cutting across boundaries around the globe
The program will be begin in May 2015 and end in July 2015 Eligibility Indian citizens currently pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree
at a recognized institution of higher education and learning in India Open to students of Atmospheric and Earth Sciences; Chemical Sciences;
Engineering Sciences; Mathematical and Computational Sciences; and, Physical Sciences
COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY
Note: Students with a biology background should consider
applying to the Khorana Program for Scholars Reward i) On availing the SN Bose Scholarship, students will be provided with an excellent
opportunity to experience and can go through the research workouts in top U.S Institutions ii) Students will be given the stipend throughout
the program, accommodation facilities and both side air-fare as well Other benefits i) Students seeking interest in taking research as their
career will have detailed and specific ideas regarding how to proceed ii) In between communication with the next generation innovators in
science ad technology iii) Awardee will have the Long-term R&D linkages with the dynamic research personalities across the globe Application
Procedure Candidates have to submit the application through e-mail. No hard copy application forms will be accepted Applications in
subject-fields other than those specified in the advertisement will not be considered Only those candidates who shall be completing their

lab supervisor on their official letterhead NOC: No objection certificate from Parent Institution Passport: Scanned copy of first and last
