The University has no control on the number of withdrawals happening as the candidates are free to choose from various options of courses and Educational Institutions available for further studies. This has caused a great difficulty in filling the vacant seats.

The above statistics was presented before the SC/ST/OBC/PWD Admission Advisory Committee for the Academic Year 2016-17. The Committee is constituted to review and advise the University in matters related to fulfillment of reservation quota in various courses for SC/ST/OBC/PWD. The Committee in order to fulfill the reservation percentages recommended for granting supernumerary seat to 10 SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates who are next in the waiting list for admission for PG courses. However, the Committee also recommended to grant 4 supernumerary seats to PWD candidates in Ph.D. programmes. The Committee also authorized the Controller of Examinations to fill the remaining seats in the courses where the candidates are available in all categories, latest by 20th August, 2016.
