Application Forms and prospectus for admission to the following programmes of study are being issued by the University from 2nd February 2009.

Category 'A' (Through Entrance Examination)- M.Phil/Ph.D., Pre Ph.D/Ph.D., MPH/Ph.D., M.Tech/.Ph.D., M.A., M.Sc., MCA and B.A.(Hons) in Foreign Languages.

Category 'B' Direct admission to Ph.D. programme in all Schools except School of life sciences.

Category 'C' M.Phil/Pre-Ph.D/Ph.D. in Science schools except Molecular Medicine (only JRF holders.)

Entrance Examination for admission to various programmes of study under Category 'A' will be held between 15th to 18th May 2009 in 51 cities in India and also in Kathmandu (Nepal). Admission under Category 'B' and Category 'C' will be held through viva-voce only.

Sets of Application Form and Prospectus can be held (i) either persoally from the Counter in the Administrative Block of the University on cash payment of Rs.200/- per set from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and form 2.00 pm to 4.00 pm on all working days (Monday to Friday): or (ii) through post by sending crossed Bank Draft (Valid for six months) for Rs.300/- drawn in favour of JAWAHARLAL NEHRU UNIVERSITY payable at NEW DELHI alongwith a self- addressed (unstamped) envelope of the minimum size of 30 cmsX 25 cms. clearly indicating the Category for which the Application Form is required on the self-addressed envelope to the Deputy Registrar (Admissions), Room No.28, Administrative Block, Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi - 110067. Money Orders and Cheques are not accepted. PLEASE DO NOT SEND REQUESTS FOR APPLICATION FORM THROUGH PRIVATE COURIER SERVICES.

Any dispute with regard to any matter relating to Admission shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Delhi Courts only.
