February 2012 Admission

Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Thiruvananthapuram, has invited applications from the eligible candidates for admission into Post Doctoral Fellowship (PDF) programme in the following areas, to be offered by the institute in the upcoming February 2012 session. Selection will be made on the basis of candidate’s qualification as prescribed by IIST.

How to apply
Interested candidates can download the Application form from IIST website: http://www.iist.ac.in. The duly filled in application form along with attested copies of document mentioned in the application form should be sent to- The Administrative officer, IIST, Valiamala Post, Thiruvananthapuram- 695547 with the superscription Application for IIST Post Doctoral Fellowship Programme latest by January 15, 2012. Applicants are required to send CV in the specific format and also submit a research proposal with in the frame work of the area advertised for the PDF. The research proposal should be of three to five pages and should contain the following information.

• Brief statement of the problem
• Aim of the research project
• Review of relevant literature
• Preparatory work of the candidate
• Brief outline of the methodology and steps in the execution of the project
• Relevant bibliography
