The Secretary, BIE, A.P., Vijayawada vide reference read above, has reported that the Board of Intermediate Education has decided to reduce 30% syllabus for Intermediate students for the Academic Year 2020-21 in view of reduction of working days due to outbreak of COVID 19. He also stated that access to study material is key to success in competitive exams like IIT/JEE, EAMCET,NEET etc. the students belong to socially and economically challenged background are unable to compete with their counter-parts from urban and affluent families due to lack of access to the good study material. He has, therefore, proposed that as a Pilot Project study material for EAMCET and IIT/JEE may be get prepared from expert body with vast experience in this field and upload the same in the Board website free of cost. The material include synopsis, solving of old questions and practice questions and solutions. The financial implication is Rs. 12,40,000/- for 124 Chapters @ Rs.10,000/- per Chapter and that the expenditure can be met from Board funds without any budget support from Government.
