TS EdCET 2024 Exam Dates:

EDCET 2024 (TS Education Common Entrance Test 2024) Press Note is released on 04th March 2024. TSEDCET 2024 is an entrance examination for Admission into B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) course in all university and private colleges in Telangana. This TSEDCET will be conducted through TS Edcet 2024.
Osmania University is conducting Edcet 2024. It is most likely that Telangana Edcet 2024 responsibilities are given to OU by TSCHE and the schedule is released.

Following are details of eligibility of TS EDCET2024 and application procedure and schedule:
The Telangana Edcet 2024 will be computer based test. The examination is held once in a year and is done on state level basis. The students who are desirious to join BED regular course for 2 year can adopt for this examination.

(TS.Education Common Entrance Test)

conducted on behalf of TSCHE by

Osmania University Hyderabad.

Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS Ed.CET –2024) through Computer Based Test (CBT) for the year 2024 will be conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad in accordance with G.O. Ms. No. 13 SE (Trg.) Dept. Dt. 27-05-2017 and amendments for admission into B.Ed (Two years) regular course offered in the Colleges of Education in Telangana State for the Academic Year 2021-2024.

Eligible candidates can submit their applications through online mode only by paying the application registration and processing fee of RS.750/- (for SC/ST Rs.550/-) through TS Online Payment gateway (Credit card/ Debit card and net banking). TS EDCET 2024 eligibility criteria
{Who are eligible for Telangana Edcet 2024?}:

Here manabadi gives information related to eligibility criteria for 2024 Telangana Edcet examination. It is same like all the previous year but still for the candidates, who are new to this, need to go through this points:

Edcet Eligibility
Eligibility The candidates should fulfil the following eligibility criteria
  1. New Update:For the year 2024, Those candidates who have passed B.A. - Oriental Language examination from any University in Telangana or a recognized University out side Telangana are also eligibile.
  2. The candidates should have passed B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.Sc.(Home Science)/B.C.A./B.B.M. examination from any University in Telangana or a recognized University out side Telangana.
  3. The candidates who are appearing for final degree examinations of 2024 are also eligible to appear for entrance examination.
  4. Candidates should have secured 50% marks either in the Bachelors Degree i.e. B.A./B.Sc/B.Com (Home Science)/BCA/BBM and/or in the Masters Degree or any other qualification equivalent thereto. However the candidates belonging to all other reserved categories should have secured 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
  5. The qualifying mark in the Entrance Test for all candiadates (except SC/ST) is 37 out of total marks (i.e 25%). For the candidates belonging to SC/ST communities there will be no qualifying marks for ranking.
  6. The candidates should have completed 19 years of age on 01-03-2024.

How to apply for Telangana Edcet 2024:

  1. Email Id is mandatory to apply for the TS EdCET 2024.
  2. Visit Offcial site (www.edcet.tsche.ac.in) or visit this page. Manabadi.co.in we will redirect you for EdCET Applying page.
  3. Click on "Apply Online" link.
  4. The following information must be kept ready for filling the details during Online submission:
    • Hall ticket Number of Qualifying Examination
    • Hall ticket Number of S.S.C. or equivalent
    • Date of Birth
    • Caste in case of SC/ST/BC candidates
    • Aadhar Number
    • PH, NCC, Sports etc.
    • Income Upto One Lakh or Up to Two Lakhs or More than Two Lakhs (Rupees)
    • Ration Card
    • Study or Residence or relevant certificate for proof of local status (last 12 years)
  5. If you make payment via online mode, then click on "Click here to Pay Online using your Credit/Debit Card" link and Pay the fee. or you can pay at AP ONLINE / TS ONLINE.
  6. After filling the Online Application Form with the required details.
  7. The candidate is required to verify all the details carefully and press Submit button. Filled in Online Application Form will be generated which contains Registration Number along with filled in details. The candidate is required to take printout of Filled In Online Application Form and it is to be submitted to the Invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent color photograph duly attested by the Gazetted Officer or Principal of the College where studied qualifying examination.
  8. Note down your "Reference Number" for further process.
  9. After successful fee submission, you can fill the application form by clicking on the link "Click here to proceed to enter application".
  10. You have to upload your scanned photographs (size should be less than 30 KB) and signature (size should be less than 15 KB) in a JPEG format.
  11. Verify all the filled-in details and click on "SUBMIT" button.
  12. Take a printout of the application form for future use.
  13. Other Information required for filling Online Application
  14. Recent passport size digital color photograph (file size less than 30 KB and .jpg file format) of candidate for uploading (whose photograph is not available in Intermediate databases)
  15. Digital Signature of the candidate (file size less than 15 KB and .jpg file format)
  16. Regional Center to which candidate wishes to appear for TS EdCET-2024 examination.
  17. Gender (Male / Female).
  18. Non-Minority / Minority
  19. Mobile Number of the candidate.
  20. E-mail of the candidate.
  21. Place where Studied - Municipality / Corporation or Rural area in SSC,Intermediate, Degree.
  22. The candidate has to submit the "FILLED IN ONLINE Ed.CET 2024 APPLICATION FORM" to the invigilator in the Examination Hall on the day of the TS Ed.CET-2024 exam. Also, affix a recent color photograph (3.5cms x 3.5cms) in the box provided (Bottom / Left side) on the "FILLED IN ONLINE EdCET 2024 APPLICATION FORM" and get it attested by a Gazetted Officer / Principal of the college where studied.
  23. The candidate belonging to SC / ST category has to submit the attested "CASTE CERTIFICATE" along with the FILLED IN ONLINE APPLICATION FORM" to the Invigilator on day of the TSEdCET-2024 exam in the Examination Hall, in case, the Application number of his/her Caste Certificate is not provided at the time of the Online submission of the Application.

Important point helps you about TS EdCET 2024 Application Form

Before submitting TSEDCET application forms the students are requested to read the following points carefully which are as follows:

  1. TS EdCET Exam Dates 2024 are available online only and will be available from 27th July 2024. So, don't be late in submitting forms
  2. If you get late, here we share you the last date for submitting application form in the 15th June month 2024
  3. If you have submitted the form with some wrong information, you can re-correct them before the last correction date shared by the university.
  4. After re-checking the application, submit the form completed in all respects
  5. If you submit the online form after the date. You need to pay the late fee along with it as shared by us in above table
  6. The students need to pay the application fee either by debit/credit card or online mode
  7. Online Mode needs many information like birth date, father-mother name, passing year, transaction id, the name of candidate etc.
  8. It is advised to visit your allotted Examination Center well before so that you can take examination tension free.
  9. The candidate will not be allowed to take the examination even if late by 1 minute.
  10. The candidate does not have option of choosing specific date / session to appear for the TS EdCET-2024 entrance examination. This information is known to him / her only after downloading Hall Ticket. For any reason if the candidate fails to appear in the given slot, he / she is treated as absent.

QUALIFYING MARKS FOR TS EdCET 2024

The qualifying marks for TS EdCET-2024 is 37 maximum marks considered for ranking. However, for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, no minimum qualifying mark is prescribed. But their admission will be limited to the extent of seats reserved for such categories (vide G.O.Ms. No. 179, LEN&TE, dated 16.06.1986).

COVERING THE DEGREE SUBJECTS (B.A.,B.Com., B.Sc.) FOR THE PERIOD 2019-21
Syllabus for the subjects under Part-A, Part-B and Part-C of the Education Common Entrance Test-2024.

PART-A: GENERAL ENGLISH

  1. Reading Comprehension.
  2. Correction of Sentences, Articles, Prepositions, Tenses, Spelling.
  3. Vocabulary, Synonyms, Antonyms.
  4. Transformation of Sentences - Simple, Compound and Complex. Voices, Direct Speech and Indirect Speech.

PART-B: GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & TEACHING APTITUDE

  1. Questions will be designed to test the ability of the candidate‟s general knowledge of the environment around him and its application to society.
  2. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific outlook as is expected of an educated person.
  3. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring Countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Ecology, Economics, General Policy and Scientific Research.
  4. Teaching requires certain characteristics like ability to communicate, ability to deal with Children, ability to recognise individual differences etc., apart fromanalytical thinking and general intelligence. One who has these characteristics will be able to become a good teacher after training. Questions relating tothese aspects will be included to test one’s teaching aptitude.

PART-C: One of the following subjects to be opted:

  1. Mathematics (MS)
  2. Physical Sciences (Physics and Chemistry) (PS)
  3. Biological Sciences (Botany and Zoology) (BS)
  4. Social Studies (Geography, History, Civics and Economics) (SS)
