NEET, JEE Main 2020 exams Scheduled in September Confirms NTA 26-Aug-2020
New Delhi,Aug 26 On Tuesday, the National Testing Agency released a notification stating that the NEET and JEE main exams 2020 will be conducted on schedule in September for students interest. The JEE (Main) exam will take place from 1-6 September, while the NEET exam will be conducted on 13 September. NTA also told the candidates about the safety measures being taken in the face of coronaviru disease.

Explaining its decision not to postpone examinations further in the light of COVID concerns, NTA notification said that even the Supreme Court saw no reason for postponing NEET and JEE (Main) examination 2020 in prayer. The Honorable Supreme Court also ordered, through alia, that we find that there is no excuse whatsoever in prayerfor postponement of the examination in question relating to NEET UG-2020 as well as JEE (Main) April, 2020
JEE Main NEET 2020 Students Go On Hunger Strike, Demand Postponement Entrance Exams 24-Aug-2020
New Delhi,Aug 24 On Sunday, the chorus for postponing various exams, including NEET 2020 and JEE Main, grew louder with over 4,000 students watching a day-long hunger strike pressing for demand in the face of increasing COVID-19. The protest came on a day that Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said the government would listen to the students mann ki baat and find an appropriate solution with his party demanded that the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, NEET 2020 and the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE Main Exam be deferred.

According to the leftist All India Students Association (AISA), more than 4,200 students observed the day-long hunger strike at their respective home demanding the cancelation of CBSE Class 10 and 12 compartment exams and postponement of entrance exams such as the UGC-NET, CLAT, NEET and JEE.
Reduced Competition for JEE Paper-1 20-Aug-2020
New Delhi,Aug 20 Applications for JEE Main-2, which will be held across the country from September 1 to 6, have come down drastically. The number of candidates for BE/BTech seats has come down by 1.75 lakh as compared to Main-1 last January. Considering the total number of applications, the number of competitors has come down by almost 2.60 lakh.

The National Board of Examinations (NTA) has recently released the details of the applications. The JEE Main is held twice each year and the highest score is taken and ranked. 9,21,261 people have applied for the Paper-1 conducted for admission in BE/BTech courses for the January examination. The total number of applications is 11,18,673. This time the number of paper-1 writers for BE/BTech has come down to 7,46,115. The total applications were only 8,58,273.

JEE training experts say that those who do not show the minimum skills in Maine-1 should not apply a second time as there is no point in writing again. Paper-2 is required for admission in B.Arch/B.Planning courses. Students appearing for the examination should submit the Self Declaration Form downloaded from the NTA website to the Invigilator. Fill in the corona background health status, latest travel details etc. and sign and submit in the presence of the invigilator.

IIT Admission 2020 eligibility criteria Relaxed for JEE Advanced Students 18-Jul-2020
Hyderabad,Jul 18 The Joint Admission Board agreed on Friday to relax the eligibility requirement for admissions to IITs due to the prevailing COVID-19 situation and the cancelation of Class XII exams by several educational boards.The IITs also agreed that qualified applicants who have passed Class XII examswill now be eligible for admissions irrespective of the marks they obtain.

A general category rank holder in JEE (Advanced) candidate should also have scored at least 75% or figure in the top 20 percentile of her Board results in order to secure a seat at an IIT for admission to IITs. The candidates will either have scored at least 65 percent or follow the top 20 percentile criteria for the SC / ST candidates.

The JAB decided to relax the eligibility criterion wherein acandidate who has qualified JEE (Advanced) needs to just have the Class XII qualifying marks.

The JEE (Main) exam, which has been postponed twice, willnow be conducted from 1 to 6 September, while the IITs JEE (Advanced) isscheduled to begin on 27 September 2020.
JEE Main, NEET Unlikely By May-End, To Be Held in June 20-Apr-2020

A National Testing Agency (NTA) official said the competitive exams, including JEE Main and NEET, will not be conducted in May-end as previously reported, but it is in consultation to conduct the exams at a later stage, may be in June month. The Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) and the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) were earlier postponed from its scheduled April dates and May respectively, Following the COVID-19 outbreak the annual academic calendar was thrown out of gear. Meanwhile, news agency PTI reported quoting officials at the Ministry of Human Resource Development (HRD) saying the competitive exams are likely to be conducted at the end of June.

We are in consultation now following the extension of the COVID-19 lockdown to May 3. The decision to conduct the JEE Main and NEET by May end was taken after the lockdown deadline of April 14 was retained, said the NTA official.

JEE Main examination is held as a screening (for IIT JEE or JEE advanced) cum eligibility test for engineering admissions in country, while, NEET examinations is the national level entrance examination for medical and allied subjects. The JEE Main examination which scheduled in April was the second edition of the biannual examinations.

New Delhi,Apr 15 National Testing Agency or NTA, the national level agency conducting JEE Main exam, said a public notice circulated in social media stating that engineering entry will take place in the first week of July is false. The NTA, an autonomous body under the Higher Education Department, Human Resource Development Ministry, Government of India, advised the candidates not to be fooled by such false information and fake notices. JEE Main test, scheduled earlier in April, was postponed last week in March to prevent spread of coronavirus outbreak in the region. It has come to the National Testing Agencys (NTA) notice that a bogus public notice dated 14/04/2020 has been circulating in social media about the JEE(Main) examinations rescheduling to the first week of July 2020. Both candidates who are due to appear for the JEE(Main) exam are hereby told that the circulated fake public notice does not contain any facts, the Agency said in a statement released on Tuesday. The Agency also said it would take strict legal action against who is creating and distributing such false information. This is told the candidates not to be fooled by such false information and false notices. The NTA will also take stern action by filing a FIR under the relevant provisions of the IT Act and IPC against those unscrupulous elements who generate and spread these false information to deceive candidates, he said. It also requested candidates and their parents to rely solely on the credible information available on NTAs official websites, jeemain.nta.nic.in and www.nta.ac .. Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank the Union Minister for Human Resource Development has also tweeted about it. He said taking into account the requests made by students and parents, the decision was taken to extend the date of making corrections in the application form including selecting cities for centers.
JEE Main April 2020 revised dates to be announced on March 31 19-Mar-2020

CBSE, NIOS, and University examinations are rescheduled and postponed till M arch 31 in view of coronavirus outbreak, Amit Khare, Secretary, Ministry of Human Resource Development has said, adding that the new date for JEE Main exam will be announced on the same day after assessing the situation. The Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) on Wednesday directed the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) and all educational institutions in the country to postpone all exams including JEE Main till March 31 in view of coronavirus outbreak.

Speaking to on Wednesday, Khare said that the academic calendar and safety and security of the children, both are equally important. We have decided that all examinations - CBSE, NIOS, and University exams are rescheduled and postponed till March 31. Similarly, the evaluation work is also postponed this March 31 because there are certain competitive exams like JEE Main where students have to travel to different centres... New date for JEE Main exam will be announced on 31st March, after assessing the situation, Khare said. At the same time, the Ministry will take all steps and we have requested all the universities, schools to contact the children, keep them well informed of the developments so that not only they are safe, there is no anxiety amongst the students and their parents and the teachers. We have also requested all of them to make maximum use of online courses so that the learning is not lost, he added.

The Ministry has requested all teachers and educational institutes to maintain regular communication with students and resolve their queries. It has also appealed to parents, students, and teachers not to panic. A total of 151 positive cases of coronavirus have been reported in India so far, the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare said on Wednesday. Three people have so far died of the infection in the country. The World Health Organisation (WHO) has declared the coronavirus outbreak a pandemic. The virus had first emerged in Chinas Wuhan city in December last year.

JEE Main 2020 January exam registration date extended 1-Oct-2019
delhi,Oct 1 The National Testing Agency (NTA) on September 30, 2019, extended the online registration deadline for the January JEE (Main) 2020 examination.
Earlier, the last date to register for the JEE Main January 2020 exam was Monday, September, 30, 2019. As per the extended deadline, the students can now register for the exam till October 10, 2019.
In a notification released on the official website of the exam - jeemain.nta.nic.in, NTA stated, "In continuation of the Public Notice dated the 3 rd September. 2019 for submission of online application form of January JEE(Main)–2020 for admission to Undergraduate Programs in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) etc. in the next academic year (2020-2021),
it is hereby informed that the last date for submission of online application form, is extended from 30th Sept. 2019 to 10th Oct. 2019, in order to enable the aspiring candidates who have not been able to apply in the Online Application Form. This is being done in view of a number of requests being received in this regard."

JEE Advanced 2019 exam dates released 27-Mar-2019
delhi,Mar 27 Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Roorkee has released the Schedule of Joint Entrance Examination Advanced (JEE Advanced) 2019 on its official website. Due to the General Elections 2019, the examination date of JEE (Advanced) 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 (Monday).
The official notification reads “In view of the clash in the dates of JEE (Advanced) 2019 and the last phase of General Elections 2019, the examination date of JEE (Advanced) 2019 has been shifted to May 27, 2019 (Monday). The examination will be held in India and abroad, on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: Paper 1 (09:00 to 12:00 IST) and Paper 2 (14:00 to 17:00 IST).”
As per the schedule, session 1 will be conducted on May 27, 2019, in the morning shift i.e., 9 am to 12 pm. Session 2 will be from 2 pm to 5 pm. The date of the admit card for the exam would also be updated on the official website. The candidates need to login to the official website to check and download the JEE (Advanced) admit card 2019.

JEE (Advanced) 2019 exam postponed to May 27 due to polls 20-Mar-2019
delhi,Mar 20 The Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) has been postponed from May 19, 2019 to May 27, 2019 in view of the Lok Sabha polls, a meeting of the examining committee decided on Tuesday.
"In view of the clash in the dates of JEE (Advanced) 2019 and the last phase of general elections 2019, the exam date of JEE (Advanced) has been shifted to May 27, 2019. The examination will be held in India and abroad on May 27, 2019 (Monday), in the following two shifts: paper 1 (09.00 to 12.00 IST) and paper 2 (14.00 to 17.00 IST)," read an official update posted on the JEE (Advanced) 2019 website.
The postponement comes days after changes were made to the JEE (Main) Phase 2 exams scheduled for April. According to officials, the dates were clashing in 18 cities and seven states. The JEE (Advanced) exam date was changed keeping in view the seventh phase of the LS polls to be held for 59 seats in Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, West Bengal, Chandigarh, UP and HP.

NTA yet to release JEE final schedule 11-Mar-2019
delhi,Mar 11 Apart from the tentative schedule for Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) II, the National Testing Agency (NTA) is yet to release the final schedule. Experts say that the exam will be scheduled based on the election dates in the respective states. Since the NTA was receiving applications till the last couple of days, the final schedule would be released only after they sort out with the applications.
Exams conducted by the government agency will be in sync with the election schedule. Even the entrance exams conducted by private universities will be rescheduled if they coincide with the election schedule.
JEE Advanced and ICAI CA May 2019 exam rescheduling on the cards 11-Mar-2019
delhi,Mar 11 As the Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced the general elections 2019 dates, we noticed clash of dates for JEE (Advanced) and CA May examinations.
According to the ECI, the Lok Sabha 2019 elections will be conducted in seven phases starting from April 11, 2019 to May 19, 2019. The seventh phase election will be held on May 19 for 59 Lok Sabha constituencies - Bihar (8), Jharkhand (3), MP (8), Punjab (13), West Bengal (9), Chandigarh (1), UP (13), Himachal (4). While the Indian Institutes of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has announced that the JEE (Advanced) 2019 will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2019.
According to the ICAI examination schedule the CA May 2019 examinations for Foundation, Intermediate and Finals would be conducted from May 3 to May 16. The exam which would be conducted on May 6 an 12 are clashing with the election dates. The ICAI is likely to reschedule the dates of the exams falling on May 6 and May 12, 2019.
JEE Main April 2019 registration closes in 2 days 5-Mar-2019
hyderabad,Mar 5 The Joint Engineering Examination, JEE Main 2019 registration for April session 2019 examination will be closing on March 7, 2019.
The interested and eligible candidates can fill the application form available on the official website- jeemain.nic.in. The JEE entrance examinations April 2019, will be conducted from April 6 to 20, 2019. The results will be declared on April 30, 2019.

Multiple Applications For JEE Main April 2019 Will Be Rejected 19-Feb-2019
delhi,Feb 19 In a notice published on the JEE Main website, National Testing Agency (NTA) has notified that multiple applications submitted by a candidate will be rejected. The notice stated that as mentioned in the official notification for JEE Main exam, "only one Application is to be submitted by a Candidate. More than one application i.e. multiple application forms submitted by a Candidate will be rejected." Hence, students are advised to fill the JEE Main April 2019 application only once.
The official notice also says that in case of multiple applications all such applications will be rejected, without intimation.
In case, a student does not receive a confirmation page after completing the application process it simply means that their application fee payment was not processed. In such cases, students should not fill another application form and simply try to pay the application fee again.
This year onward, with NTA conducting the JEE Main exam, students will get two opportunities to appear in the engineering entrance exam. The first JEE Main for the year has already been conducted in January with results also declared for the same.
In the January 2019 JEE Main exam, total 9,29,198 students had registered for paper I (which is conducted for admission to BE/B.Tech. programmes) and 8,74,469 appeared in the exam. 15 students topped the exam with 100 NTA score.
The second JEE Main for 2019 will be conducted in April. Last date to apply for JEE Main April 2019 exam is March 8, 2019.
JEE Main 2019 April exam dates released 14-Feb-2019
delhi,Feb 14 The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the JEE Main 2019 April Examination dates. As per the notification released on the official website of the exam - jeemain.nic.in - the examination for JEE Main 2019 will be conducted between April 07, 2019, to April 20, 2019.
Since Election Commission of India has declared the dates for General Election on 11th, 18th, 23rd and 29th April 2019 as well as on 6th, 12th and 19th May 2019. Accordingly, the Dates for the JEE (Main) April 2019 is hereby announced as under: Paper-2 (B.Arch./B.Planning) will be held on April 7, 2019; and Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech) will be conducted on April 8, 9, 10 and 12.
The NTA also announced that the JEE Main Admit Card 2019 for April examination will be uploaded on the official portal of the examination - www.jeemain.nic.in - on March 20, 2019.

JEE Main 2019 applications for April exam begins 8-Feb-2019
delhi,Feb 8 The JEE Main online application window for April 2019 examination opened today. The candidates who wish to appear for the JEE Main April 2019 examination can apply for the same through the official website - jeemain.nic.in.
The candidates need to register on the website first using their name, date-of-birth, mobile number, email address etc. The candidates should note down the username and password created. The same can be used by the students for future login.
The last date to apply for the JEE Main April 2019 examination is March 7, 2019. The last date to pay the application fee online is March 8, 2019, 11.50 PM.
The JEE Main April 2019 examination will be conducted for two papers - Paper 1 for BE/B.Tech admissions and Paper 2 for B.Arch/ B.Planning. The candidates can appear for with one paper or for both papers.
The JEE Main April 2019 examination will be held from April 6 to 20, 2019. The results of the examination will be announced by April 30, 2019.

delhi,Jan 31 National Testing Agency (NTA) is likely to release the JEE Main 2019 Paper 2 result soon on its official website. Some of the reports suggested that the JEE Main Paper 2 scorecard 2019 will be declared on Thursday, January 31.
The scorecard for JEE Main Paper 1 was declared on January 19, 2019. The JEE Main January examination was held from January 8 to 12, 2019. Around 11 lakh candidates had registered for the JEE Main January 2019 exam.
The NTA will release the JEE Main January 2019 Paper 2 scorecard on the official website of the exam - jeemain.nic.in. The candidates who had appeared for the Paper 2 of JEE Main Jan 2019 exam are advised to visit the official website to check their scorecard on it is officially released there.
The candidates will have to enter their application number and password or application number and date of birth on the official website to check their JEE Main scorecard 2019.
JEE Main is a national level engineering entrance examination conducted by NTA. Starting from 2019, the JEE Main exam will be held twice in a year - January and April. The candidates who want to appear for the JEE Main April 2019 exam can visit the official website for registration. The registrations for April session will commence from February 8 and the examination will be conducted from April 6 to 20.

delhi,Jan 31 JEE Main 2, the second edition of the national engineering entrance exam, will be held in April. Admission to engineering courses will be through the best of the two scores of JEE Main 1 and JEE Main 2. Registration will begin on February 8. Candidates can register for the exam at jeemain.nic.in till March 7.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the exam. The first JEE main was held in January and the scores were released on January 19. A total of 11 lakh took the exam out of which 1.8 lakh appeared for architecture paper.
JEE Main Paper 2 Results
Math marks will decide JEE Rankings 24-Jan-2019
delhi,Jan 24 The maths scores will be taken into consideration for deciding the ranks in the Joint Entrance Examination, according to the National Testing Agency which will be using the percentile formula. More than 8.5 lakh students have given the JEE this year.
The percentile form is stated to be a more scientific method for recording ranks rather than raw marks. According to education experts, the maths marks will decide the ranking procedure. From the 11 toppers who have scored 100 percentile, the ranks will be decided according to who scored the highest in maths.
The Union ministry of human resource development stated that the NTRs percentile formula is very scientific and is used in reputed educational institutions else-where in the world. The second JEE will be in held April after the announcement of the final board exams.
The percentile formula has 100 per cent for 331 raw score, 99 to 90.1 for 330 to 121 raw score and below 50 percentile for less than 41 score. Students will be ranked based on the basis of the highest marks in the attempts of both JEEs.
JEE Main 2019 Admit Card releasing today 17-Dec-2018
delhi,Dec 17 The National Testing Agency is going to release the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2019 Admit Card today on its official website. Candidates, who had applied for the JEE exam 2019, can download their admit card from the official website — jeemain.nic.in.
The JEE Main Admit Card 2019 is likely to be released today afternoon i.e., Monday, December 17, 2018 on the official website. Candidates can download their admit cad through login only. From this year, for the first time, the JEE examination is being conducted by the NTA. Earlier, the exam was conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).
JEE Main exam would be conducted from January 6 to 20 in two shifts - first shift from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and second shift from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.
The NTA will declare the JEE Main 2019 result on or before January 31, 2019 on its official website.

NTA will allow candidates to edit their application form, from October 8 to October 14.
In the second week of September, NTA released an official notification stating that Aadhaar number, 12 digit identification number issued by UIDAI, is not mandatory for registering for JEE Main 2018 examination. Candidates can also give Passport number, Ration Card number, Bank Account number or any other valid Government identity number.
The second JEE Main 2019 will be held in April. While it is not compulsory for candidates to appear in both the exams, but if any candidates does so, the best score will be considered for admission.
18,188 students qualified in IIT JEE advanced 3-Aug-2018
Delhi,Aug 3 ఈ ఏడాది 18,188 మంది అభ్యర్థులు మాత్రమే ఐఐటీ-జేఈఈ(ఆడ్వా న్స్డ్) పరీక్షలో అర్హత సాధించారని కేంద్ర మానవ వనరుల అభివృద్ధి శాఖ మంత్రి ప్రకాశ్ జావడేకర్ తెలిపారు. దీంతో ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, ఓబీసీలకు కేటాయిం చిన సీట్లు భర్తీ అయ్యేలా ప్రభుత్వం జోక్యం చేసుకుందని వెల్లడించారు. రాజ్య సభలో గురువారం ప్రశ్నోత్తరాల సమయంలో జావడేకర్ పలు ప్రశ్నలకు సమాధానాలిచ్చారు. గతేడాది 51,040 మంది అభ్యర్థులు ఐఐటీ-జేఈఈ (ఆడ్వా న్స్డ్) పరీక్షలో అర్హత సాధించారని.. ఈ ఏడాది ఆ సంఖ్య 18,188కి తగ్గిం దని ఆయన పేర్కొన్నారు.
అనంతరం ఎస్సీ, ఎస్టీ, ఓబీసీలకు కేటాయించిన సీట్లు భర్తీ అయ్యేందుకు వీలుగా చర్యలు తీసుకోవాలని ఐఐటీ మండలిని తాము ఆదేశించినట్లు తెలిపారు. దీంతో 81,988 మందితో విస్తృత జాబితాను వారు విడుదల చేశారన్నారు. ప్రభుత్వ ముందుచూపుతో ఈ ఏడాది 11,961 సీట్లు భర్తీ అయ్యాయని.. గతేడాది కేవలం 10,876 సీట్లే నిండాయని వివరించారు. ఈ ఏడాది కేవలం 118 సీట్లు ఖాళీగా మిగిలాయని చెప్పారు. మరో వైపు, ఐఐటీల్లో మహిళల సంఖ్య పెరుగుతోందని జావడేకర్ తెలిపారు. గతే డాది ఐఐటీల్లో విద్యార్థినుల శాతం 2.15 శాతంగా ఉందని.. ఈ ఏడాది 15. 29 శాతానికి పెరిగిందని వెల్లడించారు.

Candidates should carefully check their name, paper, date of birth, gender, test centre name, city, state, code of eligibility and category on the admit card. In case of any discrepancy, they should inform the JEE-M secretariat immediately.
Instructions to the candidates:
1. Candidates are required to carry the admit card to the examination centre.
2. Those claiming relaxation under the persons with disability category must carry copy of the relevant certificate (in the prescribed format) issued by the competent authority.
3. Candidates should reach the examination venue at least two and a half hours before the start of the examination.
4. The admit card is issued provisionally to the candidate, subject to his/her satisfying the eligibility conditions.
The CBSE will conduct the JEE-Main on April 8, 2018 in Offline mode and April 15 and 16 inonline mode.The JEE-Main is an all-India level engineering entrance exam conducted by the CBSE. It is required for students to gain admission to engineering courses at IITs, NITs, IIITs, deemed universities and other centrally funded technical institutions.
Exam Pattern:
a. JEE-Main is conducted in two parts Paper I and Paper II.
b. Paper I (BE/B Tech) will be conducted in both computer-based (online) and offline mode.
c. Paper II (B Arch/B Planning) will be conducted in offline only.
