Admissions to MBBS seats should be conducted exclusively through counseling.
In the countrys medical colleges, the National Medical Commission (NMC) has directed that the admission process for the first year of MBBS should be completed entirely through counseling. The commission has explicitly stated that no medical college should directly admit students to any seat without going through the counseling process, including the allocation of seats for the management quota. The latest updates have been released in this regard. The commission has warned that if medical colleges violate this regulation by offering admissions against the rules, they may face substantial fines. Additionally, the commission has emphasized that colleges must strictly adhere to the counseling process and should not independently fill seats, as this could result in severe penalties.
