The Hindi Week activities organized by the Hindi Cell of Maulana Azad National Urdu University which started on September 14 concluded today.
Dr. Seema Verma, Professor, Hindi Teaching Scheme, delivered an online lecture "Official Language Hindi and Official Correspondence" in the valedictory session. Prof. Siddiqui Mohd Mahmood, Registrar I/c, MANUU presided over the lecture. Dr. Shagufta Parveen, Hindi Officer, Hindi Cell, MANUU read out Official Language Pledge received from the Department of Official Languages, Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India and proposed vote of thanks.
Earlier, on September 15 quiz competition related to the official language was conducted in which large number of employees participated. The online Hindi story telling competition was held on September 16 as part of the Hindi Week. In the competition, University employees read their stories online and also pledged to make every possible effort for the promotion of Hindi.
Special banners and posters were displayed in the campus to promote Hindi (official language) during Hindi Week. All the activities were conducted online in view of covid pandemic.
