AP Degree Online Admissions 2026-27: Eligibility Criteria<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Commissionerate of Higher Education (CHE), Government of Andhra Pradesh, has officially launched the Online Degree Admission Process (OAMDC) 2026-27<\/strong> for admissions into undergraduate degree courses offered by government, aided, private aided, and private unaided colleges across the state.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The centralized web counselling process ensures transparent and merit-based admissions<\/strong> into a wide range of undergraduate programs, including:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Eligibility for AP Degree Admissions 2026<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

    Candidates wishing to participate in the counselling process must satisfy the following eligibility conditions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    • Candidates must have passed the Intermediate (10+2) examination or any equivalent qualifying examination<\/strong> with the prescribed pass percentage.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Applicants must fulfill the local or non-local status requirements<\/strong> as specified in G.O.Ms. No. 38, Higher Education (EC) Department, dated June 30, 2026<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • As per the admission policy, 85% of the available seats<\/strong> are reserved for local candidates<\/strong> belonging to the Andhra University (AU)<\/strong> and Sri Venkateswara University (SVU)<\/strong> local areas.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • The remaining 15% of seats<\/strong> are unreserved<\/strong>, allowing both local and non-local candidates to compete. This category also includes candidates (or whose parents) who have resided in Andhra Pradesh for a continuous or aggregate period of 10 years<\/strong>, excluding the duration spent outside the state for education or employment.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Important Note<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Candidates should remember that registration, payment of the processing fee, qualifying in the Intermediate examination, or exercising web options does not guarantee admission<\/strong>. Seat allotment will be carried out strictly on the basis of merit, reservation policy, seat availability, and the admission rules prescribed by the Government of Andhra Pradesh.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

      AP Degree Admissions 2026: Application Submission Process<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      As per G.O.Ms. No. 45, Higher Education (CE) Department, dated July 16, 2025<\/strong>, candidates seeking admission into undergraduate programmes such as B.A., B.Com., B.Sc., BBA<\/strong>, and other degree courses must submit their applications through the Common Admissions Portal (CAP)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Applicants can choose either of the following application submission methods:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Online Application through CAP<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Candidates may register and submit their applications directly through the Common Admissions Portal (CAP)<\/strong> by selecting their preferred degree colleges and courses in the desired order of preference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2. Physical Application at the Preferred College<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Candidates may also submit a physical application at their preferred Degree College. After receiving the application, the Principal of the respective college<\/strong> will verify the details, upload the application into the CAP portal, and issue an acknowledgement receipt to the candidate.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Aadhaar Authentication is Mandatory<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Irrespective of the application mode chosen, Aadhaar-based authentication is compulsory<\/strong> for all applicants. Applications will be considered valid only after successful Aadhaar verification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Preference Rule for Dual Applications<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Candidates should note that if they submit both an online application through CAP and a physical application at a Degree College<\/strong>, the preferences mentioned in the physical application<\/strong> will automatically be treated as the first preference<\/strong> during the merit-based seat allotment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      Students are advised to submit only one application with carefully selected college and course preferences to avoid any confusion during the counselling and seat allotment process.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
