AP PGCET 2026 Eligibility Criteria

Before participating in the AP PGCET 2026 examination and counselling process, candidates must ensure that they satisfy the eligibility conditions prescribed by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Only eligible candidates will be considered for admission into postgraduate programmes offered by participating universities and affiliated colleges in Andhra Pradesh.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must possess a relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university or institution to apply for AP PGCET 2026. Applicants who are in the final year or final semester of their undergraduate programme are also eligible to appear for the entrance examination, provided they complete their qualifying degree before the admission process is finalized.

The qualifying degree should be appropriate for the postgraduate course chosen by the candidate. For example, candidates seeking admission to M.Sc. programmes should have a relevant science background, while those applying for M.Com., M.A., M.Ed., MCJ, M.Li.Sc., or M.P.Ed. must possess the corresponding qualifying degree as specified by the concerned university.

Local and Domicile Requirements

Candidates must satisfy the local or non-local status requirements as prescribed under the Andhra Pradesh Educational Institutions Admission Rules. Local status is determined based on the candidate’s period of study or residence in Andhra Pradesh and plays an important role during seat allotment and reservation.

Applicants claiming local candidature should possess valid study certificates or residence certificates as required during certificate verification.

Other Important Points

Candidates should have obtained the minimum qualifying marks prescribed by the participating universities for the respective postgraduate programme.

Final-year students can participate in the counselling process provisionally, subject to the submission of all qualifying examination certificates within the stipulated time.

Admission is subject to successful certificate verification, fulfilment of eligibility conditions, seat availability, and the counselling rules issued by APSCHE.

Candidates are advised to verify the specific eligibility criteria for their preferred course before exercising web options during counselling.

Meeting the prescribed eligibility conditions is essential for participating in the AP PGCET admission process. Candidates should carefully verify their academic qualifications and supporting documents well before counselling begins to ensure a smooth admission experience.

Step-by-Step AP PGCET Phase 1 Counselling Process 2026

Step 2: Fill Application Details and Upload Documents

After completing the fee payment, candidates must fill in the remaining personal, academic, and communication details. Upload scanned copies of all required certificates in the prescribed format.

Ensure that all uploaded documents are clear and readable. Blurred or incomplete documents may delay the verification process.

Step 3: Certificate Verification

Once the documents are uploaded, APSCHE verifies the certificates online. Candidates can regularly check the verification status through the counselling portal.

Candidates belonging to special categories such as:

Step 4: Web Options Entry (Choice Filling)

After successful verification, candidates become eligible for web option entry.

Log in to the counselling portal and select your preferred universities, colleges, and postgraduate courses. Arrange the options carefully from the highest preference to the lowest.

Candidates are advised to:

Choose as many colleges as possible.

Arrange options based on genuine preference.

Save options frequently.

Review all choices before the last date.

Step 5: AP PGCET Phase 1 Seat Allotment

Based on the candidate’s AP PGCET rank, reservation category, local area status, seat availability, and web options exercised, APSCHE releases the Phase 1 Seat Allotment Result.

Candidates should log in to the counselling portal and download:

Provisional Seat Allotment Order

Joining Report

These documents are mandatory for completing the admission process.

Step 6: Online Self-Reporting

Candidates who receive a seat allotment must complete online self-reporting within the prescribed schedule.

During self-reporting, candidates should:

Accept the allotted seat.

Pay the tuition fee (if applicable).

Download the updated Joining Report.

Print the allotment letter for college reporting.

Failure to complete self-reporting within the notified dates may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Step 7: Reporting at the Allotted College

The final step is physical reporting at the allotted college.

Candidates must visit the allotted institution with all original certificates and photocopies before the last reporting date. The college verifies the documents, confirms admission, and completes the joining formalities.

Admission is considered confirmed only after successful verification and reporting at the allotted college.

Documents Required for AP PGCET Phase 1 Counselling

Candidates should keep the following original documents along with photocopies ready:

The AP EAPCET 2026 Counselling Simulator (Mock Counselling) is a valuable admission planning tool that helps candidates estimate their admission chances before the official AP EAPCET 2026 Counselling process begins. Based on the candidate’s AP EAPCET Rank, Reservation Category, Gender, Local Area Status, previous years’ Cutoff Ranks, Seat Allotment Trends, and college-wise admission data, the simulator predicts the colleges and branches they are most likely to secure.

AP EAPCET 2026 Counselling Simulator – Click Here

The AP EAPCET 2026 Counselling Simulator analyzes previous years’ college-wise and category-wise closing ranks to generate an estimated list of colleges and branches based on the candidate’s AP EAPCET Rank. It serves as a valuable reference while preparing Web Options, shortlisting colleges, and selecting the best possible preferences before the official counselling process.

Note: The AP EAPCET 2026 Counselling Simulator provides estimated seat allotment predictions based on historical counselling data and previous years’ cutoff ranks. The results are for reference purposes only and do not guarantee admission. Final seat allotment will be determined solely through the official APSCHE AP EAPCET 2026 Counselling process.

What is the AP EAPCET Counselling Simulator 2026

The AP EAPCET Counselling Simulator 2026 is an advanced, data-driven tool designed to help candidates understand their realistic chances of securing a seat before the official Web Options Entry begins. It closely simulates the APSCHE AP EAPCET Web Counselling process, allowing candidates to experience a preview of the admission process and plan their preferences more effectively.

The simulator uses a comprehensive database of previous years’ opening and closing ranks, seat matrix details, category-wise reservation rules, local area status, and college-wise cutoff trends. Based on these parameters, it predicts the most probable colleges and branches a candidate may secure during the counselling process.

Instead of guessing or randomly selecting colleges while exercising Web Options, candidates can simply enter their AP EAPCET Rank, Reservation Category, Gender, and Local Area Status. The simulator then generates a personalized list of colleges and branches that match their profile, helping candidates make informed and strategic decisions before the actual counselling begins.

In simple terms, the AP EAPCET Counselling Simulator 2026 acts as a digital mock counselling tool, enabling candidates to prepare a smart and well-structured Web Options list before the final counselling rounds. By using this tool, students can reduce mistakes, prioritize suitable colleges and branches, and improve their chances of securing a better seat during the AP EAPCET 2026 Counselling process.

1. Real-Time College Prediction

The simulator’s prediction engine compares the candidate’s AP EAPCET Rank with previous years’ college-wise and category-wise cutoff ranks to estimate admission chances. Rather than suggesting a single college, it generates a comprehensive list of colleges categorized as High Chance, Moderate Chance, and Low Chance, enabling candidates to prepare a balanced and strategic Web Options list for counselling.

2. Advanced Category & Quota Filters

Reservation plays a massive role in EAPCET admissions. The simulator allows you to filter results based on

Caste Categories: OC, BC (A/B/C/D/E), SC, ST.

Special Quotas: NCC, CAP (Children of Armed Personnel), Sports, and PH (Physically Handicapped).

Region Status: AU (Andhra University), SVU (Sri Venkateswara University), or NL (Non-Local).

3. Branch-Specific Analytics

If you are determined to take Computer Science (CSE) or AI & Machine Learning (AIML), the tool can filter all available seats in the state specifically for those branches. It helps you see how ranks for popular branches have fluctuated over the last few years.

4. Mock Web Options Interface

The simulator provides a “Mock Option Entry” page that looks identical to the official cets.apsche.ap.gov.in portal. You can practice adding, deleting, and reordering colleges to understand how to “freeze” your choices.

3. Why AP EAPCET Counselling Simulator is Trending in 2026

AP EAPCET counselling has become highly competitive due to increasing demand for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Cyber Security, and Electronics branches.

Students are searching heavily for:

AP EAPCET college predictor

AP EAMCET counselling simulator

AP EAPCET web options predictor

Rank-wise colleges list

CSE cutoff colleges

Best colleges below 10,000 rank

AP EAPCET seat allotment prediction

The simulator is trending because students want clarity before final counselling.

4. How to Use the Simulator: A Step-by-Step Guide

Using the Manabadi Counselling Simulator is simple, but requires accurate data entry for the best results:

Enter Your Rank: Input your Integrated State Rank.

Select Your Category: Choose your caste and sub-category accurately.

Choose Your Region: Specify if you belong to the AU or SVU local area.

Pick Your Branch Preference: You can select a single branch or “All Branches” to see all possibilities.

Generate List: Click on the “Predict Colleges” button.

Analyze Trends: Review the closing ranks of previous years to see if the college’s popularity is rising or falling.

5. Common Mistakes Students Make During Counselling

Selecting Only Top Colleges

Many students choose only dream colleges and fail to secure allotment.

Ignoring Category Benefits

Reservation categories significantly affect cutoff ranks.

Not Checking Previous Trends

Previous year cutoff analysis is important.

Last Minute Web Options Entry

Students should avoid entering options at the final moment.

Ignoring College Placements

Branch alone should not be considered. Placement records also matter.

6. Why Every Student Should Use the Simulator

Avoiding the “Frozen Option” Trap

During the official counselling, many students accidentally click “Freeze” before they are ready, or they don’t add enough options, leading to no seat allotment. The simulator teaches you to be cautious and strategic.

Identifying Hidden Gems

You might only know the top 10 colleges, but there are over 300 engineering colleges in Andhra Pradesh. The simulator highlights excellent autonomous colleges that match your rank but might not be on your radar.

7. Counselling Logistics: The Official Roadmap 2026

Phase

Activity

Crucial Document

Phase 1

Fee Payment & Slot Booking

Hall Ticket & Rank Card

Phase 2

Certificate Verification

Income & Caste Certificates

Phase 3

Web Options Entry

Mock List from Simulator

Phase 4

Seat Allotment Result

Allotment Order

Phase 5

Self-Reporting & Joining

Original Certificates

8. Checklist Before Starting the Simulator

Before you log in to the Manabadi simulator, make sure you have these details ready:

Integrated Rank: Found on your official EAPCET 2026 Rank Card (Expected Results: June 8, 2026).

Local Area Status: Based on where you studied for the last 7 years.

A List of Target Branches: E.g., CSE, ECE, IT, Mechanical, etc.

Conclusion

The AP EAPCET Counselling Simulator 2026 is not just a tool; it is your roadmap to a successful career. By using data instead of rumors, you ensure that you don’t waste the hard work you put into the entrance exam.

Manabadi Advice: Use the simulator at least three times with different branch combinations to see the full spectrum of your opportunities. Once you have your “Perfect List,” print it out and keep it ready for the day the official web options window opens!

However, the exact schedule and registration link for the mock, first, and second counselling rounds are yet to be announced.

While several educational websites have published expected counselling dates, candidates should note that the official AIIMS website has not confirmed any registration or seat allotment schedule. Aspirants are advised to rely only on official notifications for counselling-related announcements.

Failure to complete any of these steps within the prescribed timeline may result in cancellation of the allotted seat.

Documents Required for Counselling

Candidates should keep the following original documents ready before counselling begins:

What Should Candidates Do Now?

Since the counselling schedule has not yet been announced, candidates should regularly visit the official AIIMS examinations portal and keep all required documents ready.
The IISER IAT Round 1 counselling results for the 2026 academic session will be released in mid-July. Once published, candidates can view their seat allotment status by logging into the official IISER Admissions Portal.

The IISER IAT 2026 counselling registration is currently underway. Candidates who qualified the IISER Aptitude Test must register and submit their institute/course preferences on the official IISER Admissions Portal before the deadline of July 9, 2026 (5:00 PM IST).

The IISER Aptitude Test (IAT) 2026 results have been declared, and qualified candidates can now prepare for the next crucial stage—the IISER IAT Counselling 2026. The online counselling registration and choice filling process will begin on July 2, 2026, through the official IISER Admissions Portal.

This article provides complete details regarding the IISER IAT Counselling 2026 schedule, registration process, seat allotment procedure, required documents, seat acceptance fee, withdrawal policy, participating institutes, and important instructions.

What is IISER IAT Counselling?

The IISER Admissions Portal conducts a centralized counselling process for admissions into the BS-MS Dual Degree programmes and selected four-year undergraduate programmes offered by the participating Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs).

Seats are allotted according to:

IAT 2026 All India Rank (AIR)

Candidate’s category

Reservation policy

Campus preferences submitted during counselling

Seat availability

IISER IAT Counselling Registration Process

Candidates can register online by following these steps:

Step 1: Login

Visit the official IISER Admissions Portal and log in using your:

IAT User ID

Password

Step 2: Complete Registration

Verify personal details and submit the counselling registration form.

Step 3: Choice Filling

Select your preferred IISER campuses and programmes in the order of preference.

You may choose among:

IISER Pune

IISER Kolkata

IISER Mohali

IISER Bhopal

IISER Thiruvananthapuram

IISER Tirupati

IISER Berhampur

Candidates are advised to arrange their preferences carefully, as seat allotment depends heavily on the order of choices filled.

Step 4: Lock Choices

Review all selected preferences carefully before the deadline and lock your choices.

Once locked, no modifications will be allowed after the choice-filling window closes.

IISER IAT 2026 Seat Allotment Process

The Joint Admissions Committee will conduct multiple rounds of seat allotment.

Seat allocation depends on:

All India Rank (AIR)

Reservation category

Availability of seats

Candidate’s choice order

Candidates can download the allotment letter after each round through the admission portal.

Freeze and Float Options Explained

After receiving a seat, candidates must choose one of the following options:

Freeze

Accept the allotted seat.

Exit further counselling rounds.

No further upgradation.

Float

Accept the current seat.

Continue participating in future rounds.

Eligible for a higher preferred campus if a vacancy becomes available.

Choosing Float allows candidates to retain the currently allotted seat while remaining eligible for better preferences.

IISER IAT 2026 Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF)

Candidates allotted a seat must pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF) within the specified deadline.

Category

Seat Acceptance Fee

General / EWS / OBC-NCL / KM

₹17,500

SC / ST

₹17,500

Important Notes

The fee includes a non-refundable administrative component.

The remaining amount is adjusted against the first-semester tuition fee after admission.

Failure to pay the SAF within the deadline will lead to cancellation of the allotted seat.

Documents Required for IISER Counselling 2026

Candidates should keep scanned copies of the following documents ready:

IAT 2026 Scorecard

Rank Card

Class 10 Marksheet

Class 10 Passing Certificate

Government-issued Photo Identity Proof

Category Certificate (if applicable)

OBC-NCL Certificate

EWS Certificate

SC/ST Certificate

PwD Certificate (if applicable)

Passport-size Photograph

Signature

Ensure all uploaded documents are clear and in the prescribed format.

IISER IAT Counselling 2026: Key Strategies Every Candidate Should Know

To maximize your chances during IISER IAT 2026 counselling, candidates should carefully arrange their institute preferences and understand how the Float and Freeze options work. Since all IISERs follow a similar academic curriculum and research-focused education model, preference order should reflect your genuine choices rather than assumptions based on location or popularity.

Important Counselling Tips:

Choose Preferences Carefully: Seat allotment is based on your preference list and rank. Always place your most preferred IISER at the top, even if your admission chances appear uncertain.

Understand Float vs Freeze: If you receive a seat and wish to be considered for a higher-preference institute in later rounds, select the Float option and pay the Seat Acceptance Fee (SAF). Without paying the SAF, the allotted seat will be cancelled.

Upgraded Seats Replace Previous Allotments: If you receive an upgraded seat while using the Float option, your earlier allotted seat is automatically forfeited and cannot be reclaimed.

Keep All IISERs in Your Preference List: Avoid excluding institutes based only on location. All IISERs offer strong academic standards, quality faculty, and research opportunities, making every campus a valuable option.

Upload Documents Carefully: Ensure all required documents, including Class 12 marksheets and valid category certificates (if applicable), are uploaded before the prescribed deadlines. Missing or incorrect documents can lead to cancellation of candidature.

Explore Other IAT-Based Admissions: Candidates can also consider certain research-oriented programmes offered through IAT scores at institutes such as IIT Madras and IISc Bangalore, depending on the admission policy for the current academic session.

Following these strategies can help candidates make informed decisions and improve their chances of securing admission to their preferred IISER during the counselling process.

Common Mistakes That Students Make In Choice Filling- Explained

The “Cut-off Matching” Mistake

Students look at last year’s closing ranks and place institutes they think they will get at the top, rather than the institutes they actually want to attend.

The Example

Sneha’s rank is 1,200. Her dream is IISER Kolkata, but last year it closed at 900. She sees that IISER Mohali closed at 1,400. Afraid of losing a seat, she fills out her list like this:

IISER Mohali (Safe)

IISER Kolkata (Dream)

The Consequence

In Round 1, the system checks Choice #1 (Mohali) and immediately awards it to her. Because she received her top choice, Choice #2 (Kolkata) is permanently deleted. Even if Kolkata’s cut-off drops to 1,250 in later rounds, Sneha can never get it because the algorithm only allows you to move up your list, never down.

The Solution

Always place your dream college at #1, regardless of your rank.

IISER Kolkata (Dream)

IISER Mohali (Target)

The “Copy-Pasting Someone Else’s List” Mistake

Students blindly copy the preference order of internet influencers, coaching teachers, or high-scoring friends without looking at the actual programs offered.

The Example

Rahul wants to study Engineering Sciences (Data Science/Computer Science). He copies a standard topper’s list online:

IISER Pune

IISER Kolkata

IISER Mohali

The Consequence

He gets allocated IISER Pune. However, he discovers too late that IISER Pune only offers basic sciences (BS-MS), while IISER Bhopal is the one that offers the specialized BS Engineering Sciences program he actually wanted. He is now stuck studying pure sciences because he cannot change his preferences or move down his list.

The Solution

Research the specific academic tracks of each campus. If you want Engineering Sciences or Economic Sciences, IISER Bhopal must be placed at the top of your list, above Pune or Kolkata.

3. The “Incomplete List” Mistake

Students with borderline ranks only fill in their top 2 or 3 choices, leaving the rest of the list blank out of pride or overconfidence.

The Example

Aman has a borderline rank of 3,200. He only wants Pune or Mohali, so he fills out his form like this:

IISER Pune

IISER Mohali
(Leaves choices 3 through 7 completely blank)

The Consequence

In Round 1 and Round 2, both Pune and Mohali fill up completely with higher-ranked students. Because Aman left the other options blank, the system gives him No Allotment. He is completely kicked out of the counselling ecosystem and gets zero seats, whereas he could have easily secured a seat at IISER Tirupati or Berhampur.

The Solution

Always fill out all 7 IISERs. Use the lower-cutoff IISERs at the bottom of your list (Positions 5, 6, and 7) as a vital safety net. You can always choose to “Float” later.

Summary Checklist for Choice Filling

Rule 1: Order strictly by your personal preference, not by past cut-offs.

Rule 2: Put your dream choice at #1, even if your rank is low.

Rule 3: Fill in all available options to secure a safety net.

Rule 4: Verify the specific courses (like Bhopal’s Engineering) before ranking them.

What subject or branch do you want to major in (e.g., Physics, Biology, Data Science)? Tell me your preference, and I can tell you which IISERs specialize in it so you do not make Mistake

IISER Programmes Available Through IAT 2026

The counselling process covers admissions to several undergraduate programmes.

Five-Year BS-MS Dual Degree

Available across all participating IISER campuses.

Four-Year Undergraduate Programmes

IISER Bhopal

B.Tech. in Data Science and Engineering

B.Tech. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering

BS in Economic Sciences

IISER Tirupati

BS in Economic and Statistical Sciences

IISER Mohali

BS-MS Programme with Major in Environmental Sciences

Participating Institutes

Admissions are conducted centrally for:

IISER Pune

IISER Kolkata

IISER Mohali

IISER Bhopal

IISER Thiruvananthapuram

IISER Tirupati

IISER Berhampur

Seat Withdrawal and Refund Policy

Candidates who decide not to continue with the allotted seat may withdraw according to the official schedule.

Withdrawal Before Deadline

Eligible for refund as per admission rules.

Withdrawal Before Final Withdrawal Date

Processing charges are deducted.

Remaining amount is refunded.

Withdrawal After Final Deadline

Refund requests are handled by the allotted institute as per institutional rules.

Candidates should carefully review the official withdrawal schedule before taking any decision.

Important Instructions for Candidates

Register before July 9, 2026.

Fill maximum possible campus preferences.

Verify all personal and academic details before submission.

Upload documents in the prescribed format.

Pay the Seat Acceptance Fee immediately after allotment.

Regularly check the admission portal for seat allotment updates.

Keep your registered mobile number and email active throughout the admission process.

Admissions Beyond IISER Campuses

The centralized IISER counselling portal is meant only for admissions into participating IISER campuses.

Candidates seeking admission to:

IISc Bengaluru (BS Research Programme)

IIT Madras programmes accepting IAT scores

must separately apply through the respective institute’s admission portal, as these admissions are not conducted through the IISER counselling system.

Conclusion

The IISER IAT Counselling 2026 is the final step for candidates aspiring to secure admission into India’s premier science education institutes. With counselling registration beginning on July 2, 2026, candidates should complete registration, carefully fill their campus preferences, upload the required documents, and remain updated about the seat allotment schedule.

Timely registration, proper choice filling, and prompt payment of the Seat Acceptance Fee will ensure a smooth admission process into the desired IISER campus.

Who Can Participate in Round 1?

Round 1 counselling is open to candidates who have secured a General Rank between 1 and 37,976 in the TNEA 2026 merit list. Candidates within the prescribed aggregate mark range of 200 to 171.333 are eligible to participate in this phase. Only eligible candidates will be able to access the online choice-filling facility through the TNEA admission portal.

Below is the correct and detailed TNEA Round 1 Counselling Process 2026, following the official counselling procedure.

TNEA Round 1 Counselling Process 2026

Step 1: Login to the Candidate Portal

Candidates should log in to the official TNEA admission portal using their registered email ID and password.

After logging in, candidates can:

Access the counselling dashboard.

Check their merit rank and counselling schedule.

View important notifications.

Participate in choice filling and seat allotment.

Candidates should verify all personal, academic, and category details before proceeding. Any discrepancy should be reported immediately to the TNEA authorities.

Step 2: Choice Filling (College and Branch Selection)

Candidates must select and prioritize their preferred engineering colleges and branches.

While filling choices, candidates should consider:

Previous year’s closing cut-off ranks

College ranking and reputation

Branch preference

Placement records

Infrastructure and faculty

Hostel and transport facilities

Location and tuition fees

There is no limit on the number of choices that can be filled. Candidates are advised to add as many realistic preferences as possible to maximize their chances of securing a seat. The order of preferences is important because the allotment system always considers the highest preferred choice available according to the candidate’s rank and reservation category.

Step 3: Choice Locking

After completing the choice filling process, candidates must review and lock their preferences before the deadline.

Once the choices are locked:

No further modifications can be made.

Only the locked preferences will be considered for seat allotment.

Candidates should download or save a copy of their final choice list for future reference.

Step 4: Tentative Seat Allotment

Based on the candidate’s merit rank, reservation category, order of preferences, and seat availability, DoTE will publish the Tentative Seat Allotment.

Candidates can log in to check:

Allotted engineering college

Allotted branch

Category of allotment

Further admission instructions

The tentative allotment is not the final admission confirmation. Candidates must respond within the specified period by selecting an appropriate confirmation option.

Step 5: Seat Confirmation

After the tentative allotment, candidates must choose one of the available options within the stipulated time.

The available options may include:

Accept and Join – Accept the allotted seat and proceed with admission.

Accept and Upward – Accept the current seat while remaining eligible for upward movement if a higher-preference seat becomes available.

Decline and Upward – Reject the current allotment but remain eligible for a better preference through upward movement.

Decline and Move to Next Round – Skip the current allotment and participate in the next counselling round.

Decline and Quit – Exit the counselling process completely.

The options displayed may vary depending on the candidate’s allotment status and counselling round. Candidates who fail to submit any option before the deadline may lose their allotted seat.

Step 6: Seat Acceptance Fee Payment

Candidates who select “Accept and Join” or “Accept and Upward” after the tentative seat allotment must pay the prescribed Seat Acceptance Fee within the specified deadline to confirm their allotted seat. Failure to pay the fee within the stipulated time may result in the cancellation of the allotted seat.

The Seat Acceptance Fee will be adjusted against the first-semester tuition fee at the time of admission. Candidates eligible for fee concessions or exemptions under applicable Government of Tamil Nadu schemes will receive benefits as per TNEA guidelines.

Category

Seat Acceptance Fee

General (OC / BC / BCM / MBC / DNC)

₹5,000

SC / SCA / ST

₹1,000

Important Note:

The seat acceptance fee is non-refundable if the candidate withdraws after confirmation, as per TNEA rules.
