VITEEE 2019 Results

VITEEE 2019 Results Available Now

Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) is likely to announce VITEEE 2019 results today, April 29, 2019.

The results will be announced on vit.ac.in. For checking the results, the students would need to submit their application number and date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format. Also, the students, who have enrolled themselves for the exam, will be informed about their rank via SMS and email, provided at the time of registration. The VITEEE 2019 results were prepared through an equipercentile equating method.

ADMISSION PROCEDURE:

• The admission will be purely on the basis of the marks secured in the VITEEE-2019, conducted by VIT
• Candidates who have not appeared for the VITEEE are not eligible for admission
• Candidates will be shortlisted based on their entrance examination rank and will be called for the counselling
• VITEEE for B.Tech. programme is common for VIT-Vellore, VIT-Chennai, VIT-Bhopal and VIT-AP
• Candidates can select the campus of their choice at the time of counselling based on the ranking

VITEEE 2019 results Equating Methodology:

Equating is a statistical process that is used to adjust scores on test forms (that are approximately equivalent) so that scores on the forms can be used interchangeably. Thus, equating is used to adjust scores of candidates who have taken different forms of a test, in order to facilitate meaningful and fair comparison for merit list and ranking of these candidates. The statistical procedure of Equipercentile Equating would be used by VIT to identify the percentile ranks for candidates, such that scores on different forms with the same percentile rank are considered to be equivalent. Thus, Percentile Rank is a unique and invariant position of the test taker in that group. A percentile Rank, say 90 Percentile Rank denotes that there are 90 percent of test takers scores below this score level and 10 percent above this test score. Candidates are advised not to make assumptions and predictions of their score or rank based on their own estimates of raw scores

Counseling Procedure for VITEEE 2019:

(i) Document submission at the time of Counselling
The candidate should produce the following documents in original along with two-set of photocopies while
reporting for counselling:

1. VITEEE-2019 e-Admit card, Counselling Admit card and VITEEE Result copy
2. Class X Board Certificate as a proof of date of birth or any other age proof certificate
3. Mark sheet of Qualifying Examination (if available) / XII Hall ticket (For result awaiting candidates)
4. Community Certificate (For SC/ST only)
5. Nativity Certificate (For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura)
6. Demand Draft for Rs. 50000/- drawn in favour of 'Vellore Institute of Technology', payable at Vellore for Phase- I counselling candidates
7. Demand Draft for Rs. 3,00,000/- drawn in favour of 'Vellore Institute of Technology', payable at Vellore for Phase- II counselling candidates
8. Candidates requiring hostel accommodation will have to submit a separate crossed Demand Draft for Rs.21,200/-(Hostel fee Advance Rs.20,000 + Processing fee Rs.1,200 non-refundable).
9. Copy of Aadhar Card Candidates without the DD for the above said amount will not be permitted to attend counselling

(ii) Document submission at the time of Admission :
The following documents in original are required to be submitted at the time of Admissions:

1. Provisional Admission letter (photocopy)
2. VITEEE-2019 e-Admit card, Counselling Admit card and VITEEE Result copy
3. Class X Board Certificate as a proof of date of birth or any other age proof certificate
4. Qualifying examination mark statements of all attempts
5. Transfer Certificate / School leaving Certificate
6. Migration Certificate (if issued by the board)
7. Community Certificate (For SC/ST only)
8. Nativity Certificate (For candidates hailing from Jammu and Kashmir and the North Eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim and Tripura)
9. Student Profile
10. Recent passport size colour photos - 4 Nos.
11. Affidavit to be signed separately by Student, Parent and Hostel on a Rs. 20/- Non-judicial stamp paper. (Format available on VIT website)
12. Certificate of Physical Fitness (Format available of VIT website)
13. 2 sets of photocopies of all original documents (Except Affidavits / Physical Fitness Certificate / Student Profile)
