- NEET-UG has been held annually by NTA since 2013 for the admission of candidates to medical colleges.
- Those who have completed the age of 17 at the time of admission or will reach that age on or before December 31 of the year of admission to the first year of the Undergraduate Medical Course will be eligible for the NEET exam.
- Once the NEET Exam application form is available on the NTA website, candidates should fill it out.
Minimum Aggregate Marks in Qualifying Exam
- General category: 50%
- SC/ST/OBC-NCL: 40%
- PwD candidates: 45%

NEET Uploading the Necessary Documents:
In this step, you must apply for the NEET online by filling out your information and uploading the necessary documents. After paying the fees, print a copy of the NEET application form to use as a reference in the subsequent stages of the selection process. Before applying, candidates must have the following requirements:
- Active mobile number to receive Enrolment No. and SMS-based exam notifications/communications.
- Computer with internet connectivity.
- passport size photograph (jpg file size: 10 kb to 200 kb); post card size photograph (4"x6") (jpg file size: 10 kb - 200 kb)
- Signature (jpg file size: 4kb - 30kb); left hand thumb impression (jpg file size:10 kb-200 kb)
- Class X pass certificate (pdf file size: 50 kb to 300kb)
- Debit/ Credit card for online fee payment.

NEET 2024 Notification Checking Procedure
- Step 1: Go to the NEET official website at https://nta.ac.in/.
- Step 2: In the Important links area, choose "Fill Registration Form"
- Step 3: You will be redirected to a "New Registration" link, page.
- Step 4: All the registered candidates have to sign in with an application number and password..
- Step 5: After successfully registering click on sign in..
- Step 6: Fill the online application form and kindly note down the application no. generated by the system.
- Step 7: Upload all the required documents.
- Step 8: Download, save and print copies of Confirmation Page after successful.
NEET UG 2024 Eligibility
Education Qualification- Candidates must have finished their 10+2 (Intermediate) coursework with English, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology as their core courses and an authorised board should acknowledge the educational institution.
- Applicants from the General category must receive 50% of the possible points in their Intermediate test; applicants from the OBC, SC, ST, or PWD categories must receive 40% of the possible points in order to be eligible for NEET.
Age Limit
He/she has completed 17 years of age at the time of admission or will complete that age on or before 31 December of the year of his/her admission to the first year Undergraduate Medical Course. The candidates born on or before 31.12.2005 can apply for the exam.
Nationality
A resident of India, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), and Foreign Nationals are eligible for admission in Medical/Dental Colleges hence they can sit for the NEET examination.
NEET Qualification Codes
- Code 01: Candidates appearing for 12th class exam
- Code 02: Those who have cleared 12th standard have not taken admission further
- Code 03: PUC Science Graduate
- Code 04: 12th class graduate and have completed pre-medical/pre-professional exam
- Code 05: Admitted to 1st year of B.Sc Degree with PCB combination
- Code 06: Graduates (B.Sc Exams with PCB combination)
- Code 07: Completed a course from any other board (another country) equivalent to Indian Class 12 (10+2)
NEET 2024 Selection Process
NEET will only be offered in one stage. The offline exam will include four subjects. Each subject will be divided into two sections. Section A will have 35 questions, and Section B will have 15 questions, of which candidates can choose to attempt any 10 of them. As a result, the total number of questions and time spent will remain unchanged. Candidates who successfully clear the respective medical colleges' cut-offs are eligible to join that college at the discretion of the college authority. NEET (UG) - 2024 will be used to fill all seats in Undergraduate Medical / Dental Courses. The following seats are available under various quotas:
- All India Quota Seats
- State Government Quota Seats
- Central Institutions/Universities/Deemed Universities
- State/Management/NRI Quota Seats in Private Medical / Dental Colleges or any Private University
- Central Pool Quota Seats
- All seats including NRI Quota as well as Management Quota, in private unaided/aided minority/non-minority medical colleges.
- AIIMS Institutes across India/JIPMER.
