Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) can trace its origins to the ‘Ecole de Medicine de Pondicherry’ established by the French Government in 1823. In 1956 foundation for new medical college was laid and in 1964, hospital was inaugurated. JIPMER became an institution of national importance under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India in the year 2008. It is an institution established for teaching, research and patient care in the area of health. JIPMER spreads over 192 acres. The institution houses one administrative block, one academic centre, one nursing college, seven hospital blocks, seven accessory services buildings and four residential complexes. 12 broad types of medical, nursing and allied health science courses covering all disciplines in healthcare from basic to super speciality training are conducted.

JIPMER Entrance Exam Results 2021:

Candidates will be able to check their results for JIPMER PG MD/MS January 2021 online at the official website JIPMER, PG Exam 2021 (jipmer.edu.in). The results of the JIPMER PG 2021 examination were issued in the form of a merit list containing Roll Number Details, Name, Date of Birth, Correct Response, Negative Response, Total Points, Percentile, Category, and Candidate Eligibility Details. Qualified students will be invited to the counseling round and admission will be granted if necessary.

JIPMER 2021 Rank Merit List:

The result of JIPMER 2021 will be announced through the online mode. For different groups, the score card will be separately published. The name of shortlisted applicants, roll number, date of birth & their total percentile scored in their rank order will be included in the merit list.

JIPMER PG Exam cut off 2021:

In order to qualify for the test, candidates applying for the JIPMER postgraduate entrance exam must agree with the JIPMER PG 2021 cut-off. The cutoff for the corresponding group will also be declared when the JIPMER PG result is published. The JIPMER PG 2021 cut-off marks are the minimum percentile needed for candidates to apply for the exam. As shown in the table below the JIPMER PG 2020 Exam cutoff session for the different categories in September.

JIPMER 2021 Counseling Process:

Both shortlisted candidates can check the Institute's official website and check the location for their counseling. By entering their required credentials, they have to login. When appearing for the counseling process, all the selected ones must carry their original mark sheets and certificates. Please read all of the directions before the exam appear. And bring all the documents required; otherwise, your admission will be cancelled, and another applicant will be given the seat.

JIPMER PG Result 2021: Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Ques.1- is percentile score the same as percentage scored?

Ans.1- No, the same thing is not meant by percentile scores and percentage scores. Although the marks scored by a candidate are represented by percentage scores, the percentile score is a comparison of the marks secured by a candidate to all other exam.

Ques.2- Will the result of JIPMER PG 2021 is sent online?

Ans.2- No the result of JIPMER PG will be announced online only. The results can be checked online by candidates who have appeared for the examination on the official website of the institute.

Ques.3- I belong to the OCI category. How many marks should I score to clear JIPMER PG?

Ans.3- Since you are an Overseas Citizen of India (OCI), to qualify for the test, you need to secure a minimum of 50th percentile in the JIPMER PG result. The corresponding marks in the JIPMER PG result 2021 for this percentile are 380.

Ques.4- Why is my overall rank of JIPMER PG result different from my category-wise rank?

Ans.4- These ranks differ because the counseling is kept separately for applicants belonging to various groups. Applicants belonging to different categories will be given a seat reserved for the respective category to which they have applied and on the basis of their category rank.
