Telangana now has about 1300 PG medical seats available, and the new NMC guidelines will allow government hospitals—which do not have MBBS seats but do have enough medical equipment and qualified physicians—to begin offering PG medical courses. Telangana and many other Indian states will have more Post Graduate medical seats available in the upcoming academic year as a result of the National Medical Commission (NMC) permitting non-teaching government hospitals to begin providing MBBS graduates with specialty and super-specialty courses.
