Courses & Eligibility

For the post of Lower Division Clerk, candidate should be passed in Matriculation or its equivalent from Recognized Board.

Age- 18-25 years

Scheme of Examination:

Written Examination

A Written examination is conducted for the post of Lower Division Clerk. The written exam consists of following tests among paper-1 and paper-2:-

Paper I

Paper I consists of following sections.

a) General Intelligence and reasoning- It has both verbal as well as non-verbal type of questions. It may include questions on analogies, similarities, differences, space visualization, problem- solving, analysis, judgement, decision-making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, and arithmetical reasoning, arithmetical number-series.

b) Clerical Aptitude- This test is designed to test the candidate?s intelligence and aptitude.

c) English Language-This test is designed to test the candidate?s comfort level with the level.

d) Numerical ability-Questions are designed to test the arithmetical computation of numbers, decimals and fractions.

e) General Awareness- This test is designed to check the general knowledge and the general awareness of the candidate.

Paper II

This consists of a typewriting test.

Typewriting Test:

The typewriting test will consist of one paper on running matter of 10 minutes duration. It is of a qualifying nature where the speed for English is 30 WPM and for Hindi it is 25 WPM.

Those candidates who qualify are eligible for being recommended for appointment.
