1.In the reference 1st read above, the Director of Tribal Welfare has informed that the Government of India, Ministry of Tribal Affairs have agreed for setting up of a Tribal Freedom Fighter’s Museum at Lambasingi (v) of Chintapalli (M) of Visakhapatnam District and approved the project at Rs.15.00 Crs towards 50% of CAPEX cost vide reference 2nd read above of which Rs.7.5 Crs. So far been released to the state Government. (Rs.5.00 Crs in 2017-18 and Rs.2.5Crs in 2018-19 vide references3rd & 4th read above). It was further informed that vide reference 5th read above, the Ministry of Tribal Affairs has been informed that the Tribal Freedom Fighter’s Museum would be taken up at an estimated cost of Rs.35.00 Cr and the balance cost would be met from State Plan funds.
2. The Director of Tribal Welfare has further informed that the National Level Committee (NLC) constituted on Museums at Government of India level under the Chairpersonship of Secretary (TA) Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India has reviewed the progress made on establishing Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum at Lambasingi (v) of ChintapalliMandal of Visakhapatnam District at Ministry Office, New Delhi on 18.02.2020 in which the proposed designs of the Museum have been presented and the NLC have agreed for option 1 design i.e. Iconic bow model designs and categorically instructed that the State Government should go for tenders for finalizing the executing agency for civil constructions as per the approved designs and ensure that the museum is completed in all aspects by the end of March, 2021 as Prime Minister’s Office is closely monitoring the progress in this regard
3. Therefore, the Director of Tribal Welfare, AP, Vijayawada has requested the Government to accord administrative sanction at an estimated cost of Rs.35.00 Cr. duly indicating the Head of Accounts from which sanction is proposed.
4. Government after careful examination of the matter, hereby accord Administration Sanction for "construction of Tribal Freedom Fighter’s Museum at Lambasingi (V) of ChintapalliMandal of Visakhapatnam District at a total estimated cost of Rs.35.00 Cr. subject to ratification by the Nodal Agency under STC (earlier TSP).
