JEE Advanced Results 2020

IIT Roorkee will announce the result of JEE Advanced 2020 in online mode on Oct 05. JEE Advanced 2020 result will display category wise All India Ranks (AIR) of the qualified candidates, the rank in Common Rank List (CRL), subject wise scores in both Paper 1 and 2, total positive marks and total marks.

Joint Entrance Examination (Advanced) 2020 will lead to admission in IITs and some institutes that accept JEE Adv score. You may check your result by entering JEE Advanced Application Number and Date of Birth.

Category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers. The results of Joint Engineering Entrance Examination (JEE) Advanced 2020 will be out in the June 10, 2020. You may get informed about the results through SMS but no individual rank card will sent through post/courier.

How is the JEE Advanced 2020 Score Calculated?

All of the candidates will be required to appear in both Papers I and Paper II of JEE Advanced 2020 to be considered for the ranking process. Scores secured in both Paper 1 and Paper 2 will be taken while the rank is calculated by the concerned authorities. The example is mentioned below:
Marks obtained in Physics = Physics marks obtained in Paper I + Physics marks obtained in Paper II
The marks for Mathematics and Chemistry are calculated in a similar manner. The aggregate marks for JEE Advanced 2020 will be calculated using the following formula:
Aggregate Marks/Scores obtained in JEE Advanced = Aggregate Marks in Physics + Aggregate Marks in Chemistry + Aggregate Marks in Mathematics
The rank list of JEE Advanced 2020 will be prepared based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance examination.

Important Points of JEE Advanced Result 2020

  • The merit list for OBC (NCL), ST and SC will be released separately. There will be specified relaxation in minimum marks for candidates belonging to these categories.
  • The minimum prescribed marks will vary according to the category of the candidates.
  • Individual rank cards will not be sent to the candidates.
  • Securing a rank in JEE Advanced 2020 will not guarantee admission to IITs and ISM.

Steps to check the Result of JEE Advanced 2020:

  1. Visit the official website of JEE Advanced examination.
  2. Click the link Result of JEE (Adv) 2020.
  3. Enter your JEE Advanced Application Number and Date of Birth in the specified fields.
  4. Click on "Submit" button.

JEE Advanced 2020 Cutoff:

The cutoff of JEE Advanced 2020 is the minimum rank that has to be secured by the candidates to be eligible for admission into the B.Tech courses offered by IITs. The opening and closing ranks required for admission will be listed out in the JEE Advanced cutoff 2020. According to the category, selection of course and institute, the cutoff will vary. JEE Advanced 2020 cutoff has not been announced yet, however, the candidates can check the previous year cutoff to know the range of ranks which might get them allotted to their preferred IIT.
