The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) is conducts examinations every year across the country at various central and regional levels to fill several vacancies for Indian Railways.
The recruitment drive is for 89409 vacancies in Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) and Level II Categories. Group C Level II include posts like assistant loco pilots, technicians (fitter, crane driver, blacksmith, and carpenter) and Group C Level I (Erstwhile Group D) includes posts like track maintainer, points man, helper, gateman and porter.

Assistant Loco Pilot (ALP) Eligibility Details:
Age Limit: The minimum age limit for ALP is 18 years and the maximum is 42 years.
ALP & Goods Guard Eligibility Criteria:
Educational Qualification: Candidates willing to apply for the ASM or Goods Guard post must have Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from UGC recognized university of India
Age Limit: 18- 40 years.
Traffic Assistant Eligibility:
Educational Qualification: Candidates who wish to apply for Traffic Assistant Job must have Degree in any discipline from Government Recognized University.
Age Limit: 18- 40 years.
Commercial Apprentice Eligibility:
Educational Qualification: You should have Bachelor Degree from UGC recognized University or institution to be eligible for this post.
Age Limit: 18- 40 years.
Exam Pattern:
ALP/Technician:
Computer Based Test (CBT) will be conducted in two stages.
The first stage CBT will be of 60 minutes duration and will have 75 questions.
The question paper will have questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Science, and General Awareness on current affairs.
The second stage CBT will have two part s.
The duration for the second stage CBT will be 2 hours and 30 minutes.
For part A, 90 minutes will be given. Part A will have questions from Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, Basic Science and Engineering, and General Awareness on Current Affairs.
For Part B, 60 minutes duration is allotted. This part is qualifying in nature and shall have questions from the trade syllabus prescribed by Director General of Employment & Training (DGET).

You will be redirected to a new webpage, on this page enter your registration number and password. Password is nothing but your date of birth. Please enter the details as prompted and click "submit" button.
Then, your admit card will appear on the screen. Please cross check the registration number and photo on it.
Your RRB Exam admit card will be downloaded.
Please take a printout of it alteast 2 to 3 copies and carry it with you to the examination hall.
Importance of Railway Exam Admit Card:
To appear for the Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) examination, Admit card is a mandatory document. Please carry a passport sized photograph along with the printed admits card to the examination hall.
First & foremost importance of the Hall ticket is - a student cannot attend the exam without this.
During the interview sessions of the exams attended, the students need to submit the RRB Hall ticket along with all other certificates.
RRB Result 2018:
The results of RRB Recruitment 2018 exam will be declared after 2 or 3 months of successful completion online exam. The results will be declared on the regional website of RRB's. Candidates will have to enter application details to know their RRB Result online.
