Zozibini Tunzi was crowned as the 2019 Miss Universe:

South Africa`s Zozibini Tunzi was crowned as the Miss Universe 2019. Zozibini and Miss Universe Puerto Rico Madison Anderson were the top two contestants for the 2019 Miss Universe title. Miss Universe Mexico Sofia Aragon won third place. Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray crowned Zozibini Tunzi, the winner of the title, at the event held in Atlanta on 8 December.

Zozibini Tunzi:

Zozibini Tunzi, 26-year-old, is from South Africa. She fights against gender-based violence. She devoted her social media campaign to change the narrative around gender stereotypes. She is a proud advocate for natural beauty. She encourages women to love themselves the way they are.

Miss Universe pageant:

Miss Universe beauty pageant is held every year. It was formed on 28 June 1952. It is run by Miss Universe Organization.

2019 Miss Universe pageant:

The 2019 Miss Universe pageant was held on 8 December 2019 in Atlanta, the US. 90 finalists participated in the pageant contest. 


Winner: Zozibini Tunzi, South Africa

Runner up: Madison Anderson, Puerto Rico

3rd place: Sofia Aragon, Mexico.

Railway Sports Promotion Board won the 2019 FICCI India Sports Awards:

Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) India Sports Awards 2019 was presented to the Railway Sports Promotion Board under the category of Best Company Promoting Sports (Public Sector) on 11 December 2019 at New Delhi. The award was conferred by a jury headed by Justice Mukul Mudgal, retired Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court. 

Awarded for:

Railway Sports Promotion Board was awarded for the immense contribution provided by the board in the field of sports eco-system. The organization provided support for the budding sports athletes to nurture and expose themselves to their optimum limits and bring laurels to the nation.

It provided a friendly policy to develop the sports infrastructure and give all possible support to fulfill the needs of athletes

Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB):

Founded on: 1928

RSPB is owned by the Indian Railways. It is a member of the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). It promotes 29 sporting disciplines. 


Railway Sports Promotion Board is not only providing all facilities and coaching to its in-serving and active 8000 athletes but also has started Summer Coaching Camps for school children to attract them towards the field of Sports and help them with mental and physical fitness.
