India handed over two more Mi24V helicopters to Afghanistan:

India handed over two more Mi-24V helicopters to Afghanistan`s Air Force. H.E. Vinay Kumar, an Indian Ambassador, handed over the 2nd pair of Mi-24V helicopters to Afghanistan Minister of Defence Asadullah Khalid at the military airport in Kabul on 16 October.

Afghan plans to use the helicopters to bring peace and to provide a better environment for the people of Afghanistan. The two Mi-24V helicopters are a replacement for the four helicopters gifted by India to Afghanistan in 2015 and 2016.

India has been lending its support for peace and harmony in Afghanistan and assists all Afghans in securing a better future. The Afghan National Defence Security Forces made a stellar effort to provide an umbrella of security to achieve shared and common values against cross-border terrorism and internal threats.

India`s MiG 29 to fly with Eurofighter Typhoon in Oman:

The MiG 29 fighter aircraft of the Indian Air Force (IAF) will be flying alongside the Eurofighter Typhoon. The F-16 in India`s bilateral air exercise with Oman which kicked off 

MiG 29

It is the first occasion that the MiG 29 will participate in an international air exercise outside India. Exercise Eastern Bridge V held at the Air Force Base Masirah in Oman. The event will take place from October 17-26.

The Royal Air Force Oman will fly its UK-made advanced trainer aircraft India`s military transport aircraft C-17 Globemaster will also participate in the air exercise.IAF`s Mig-29 Upgrade (UPG) will participate in the exercise along with C-17 Globemaster, which is providing the necessary transport support for induction/de-induction.

About the Excercise

The exercise will enhance inter-operability during mutual operations between the two air forces.The participation of IAF in the exercise will promote professional interaction, exchange of experience, and operational knowledge. Besides strengthening bilateral relations and excellent opportunity for the air-warriors to operate in an international environment.

Defence of Andaman and Nicobar Islands exercise 2019 was held:

Andaman and Nicobar Command (ANC) conducted DANX-19, the second edition of Defence of Andaman & Nicobar Islands 2019 from 14 October to 18 October 2019 at Port Blair, Andaman, and Nicobar Island.

DANX-19:

DANX-19 is a large scale joint services exercise that was held for a period of five days. In the exercise, the components of the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard carried out mobilization and field manoeuvres to validate defensive plans of Headquarters ANC. The exercise aims to pursue the Command`sCommand`s responsibility, namely ensuring the territorial integrity of the A&N Islands.

Participants:

Along with the Indian Army, Navy, Air Force, and Coast Guard, the internal forces from ANC, additional forces from the newly formed Armed Forces Special Operations Division (AFSOD), participated in the exercise.
