India recorded best ever performance in 2019 World Wrestling Championships:

India won a total of 5 medals in the World Wrestling Championships. It is recorded as their best-ever medal haul in an edition of World Wrestling Championships. 

Indian winners:

Deepak Punia won silver in men`s 86kg category 

Ravi Kumar won bronze in men`s 57kg category

Rahul Aware won bronze in men`s 61kg category

Bajrang Punia won bronze in men`s 65kg category

Vinesh Phogat won bronze in the 53kg women`s category

2019 World Wrestling Championships:


The 2019 World Wrestling Championships was held from 14 Sep 2019 to 22 Sep 2019 at Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan. The tournament served as qualification for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. The top 6 wrestlers from each category had earned their National Olympic Committees (NOCs) a qualification.


England woman wicket-keeper Sarah Taylor retires from International Cricket:

England wicket-keeper Sarah Taylor called time on her international career, a statement from the England Cricket Board.

She made her England debut in 2006. She scored 6,553 international runs is second on England Women`s all-time list of run-scorers. Taylor was also a magnetic keeper behind the stumps creating waves with her innovative methods that led her to 232 dismissals, the most in women`s cricket. She previously goes on an indefinite break from cricket after the 2016 World T20 in India before returning for the 2017 World Cup.
