 1. India Australia Series

India defeated Australia by six wickets in the first ODI to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series . 
India had restricted Australia to a modest 236 for seven after the visitors opted to bat. The hosts then returned to overhaul the target with 10 balls to spare, scoring 240-4 in 48.2 overs.
Kedar Jadhav (81) and MS Dhoni (59) hit superb unbeaten half-centuries to take the team home.
In Cricket, Skipper Virat Kohli`s 40th ODI ton and pacer Vijay Shankar heroics in the 50th over spell helped India to register an eight run victory against Australia in the second ODI at Nagpur last evening. 
Sent to bat, the hosts bowled out for 250 in the 49th over, thanks to Kohli`s 116 off 120 balls knock which lifted India to a decent total. The Aussies was in the chase until the last over when, they needed 11 to win with two wickets left. 
Marcus Stoinis was lbw on 52 by Vijay Shankar on the first ball, and Adam Zampa was bowled two balls later to wrap up the visitors for 242. India now lead the five-match series 2-0. The third ODI will be played in Ranchi. 
 
2. England defeat India by 41 runs in T-20 match at Guwahati
 
England beat India by 41 runs in the first women`s T20 International in Guwahati. Chasing a target of 161 runs, India could make 119 for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. 
Deepti Sharma 22 and Shikha Pandey 23 were the top scorers. For England Katherine Brunt and Linsey Smith took two wickets each.
Earlier, put in to bat, England made 160 runs for the loss of 4 wickets. Opener Tammy Beaumont top-scored with 62  while skipper Heather Knight smashed 40. 
For the hosts left-arm orthodox bowler Radha Yadav picked two wickets while Deepti Sharma and Shikha Pandey scalped one each.
