The Indian Institute of Technology-Madras (IIT-M) received the national prize for intellectual property for the years 2021 and 2022. The Ministry of Commerce and Industry`s Ministry of Commerce and Industry founded the award.

 

This award has encouraged IIT Madras to produce and safeguard more and more intellectual property with societal effect.

 

The yearly award honours those who have excelled, including individuals, institutions, organisations, and businesses, for their intellectual property innovations and commercialization that support the development of the nation’s IP ecosystem and promote innovation.
