Draft Regional Plan-2041 Approved By NCR Planning Board:
The Draft Regional Plan-2041 has been approved by the National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB).
Highlights:
♦ It was approved at the NCRPB`s 41st meeting, which was held on October 13 under the chairmanship of Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs Hardeep Singh Puri.
♦ The Plan also focuses on multi-modal connectivity across the NCR via air, road, rail, and inland waterway connectivity.
♦ It proposes 30-minute connectivity through super-fast trains within NCR`s major cities, as well as investigating the feasibility of a half-hour Mass Transit Rail System from the nearest NCR boundaries to Delhi.
