UEFA put all international matches on hold

UEFA has postponed all of the international matches moved back to June for further notice. The decision was taken after consultations about how to change the fixture calendar in the face of the current coronavirus epidemic in Europe`s 55 member federations.
 
UEFA`s announcement:
 
♦ The postponed matches include the play-off matches for UEFA Euro 2020 and qualifying matches for UEFA Women`s Euro 2021. 
♦ It has also postponed all the UEFA competition matches, including the centralized international friendly matches. 
♦ The matches will be held when the countries return to normality. Friendly matches that were postponed include England`s matches in Austria, Champions League final, Europa League final.

IOC sets a new deadline for Tokyo Olympics qualification duration:
 
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that the new deadline for the Tokyo Olympics qualification period was set for 29 June 2021. The decision was taken after consulting with the Members of the National Olympic Committee (NOC), the Secretary General and Chef de Missions, the Director of Solidarity and NOC Relations at the IOC.
 
Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic, Tokyo Olympics was rescheduled for holding in 2021. The new deadline for the sport entries has now been set for 5 July 2021. The committee also announced that the revision of the qualifications systems will be finalized soon to give certainty to athletes and NOCs.
