Ayushman Bharat-Health & Wellness Centre Scheme Completed 4 Years
Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister, hosted a "Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav" to commemorate Ayushman Bharat-Health and Wellness Centres (AB-HWCs).
Highlights:
- The first AB-HWC was inaugurated on April 14, 2018, in Jangla, a peaceful village in Chhattisgarh`s Bijapur district.

- More than 1 lakh AB-HWCs, State Health Ministers, senior officials from all the States and Union Territories, healthcare workers from various hospitals, and development partners attended a virtual meeting organized by Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya to commemorate the fourth anniversary of AB-HWCs.
- On April 16, 2022, more than 3 lakh teleconsultations were conducted through the AB-HWCs` eSanjeevani platform. This is the most teleconsultations performed every day, breaking the previous record of 1.8 lakh teleconsultations per day.
- Yoga sessions were held in all AB-HWCs on the second day, April 17, 2022, to highlight health and well-being integration into the service provided at AB-HWCs.
- The third day begins with the organization of `Block Health Melas` in at least one block in each district of the State/Union Territories from 18 to 22 April (UTs). Each Block Health Mela would last one day and cover every block in the State/UTs.
