- International Cricket Council (ICC) launched the official ICC Women’s Team Ranking
- Australia is ranked number one following its success in the ICC Women’s World Cup 2013 in India and the ICC Women’s World Twenty20 2014 in Bangladesh.

- Vinoo Mankad Trophy South Zone Cricket tournament held in Kochi and Alappuzha

4) Sania Mirza-Martina Hingis won women`s doubles title of Wuhan Tennis Open.
- Indian tennis player Sania Mirza and her Swiss partner Martina Hingis have won the 2015 Wuhan Open Women’s Doubles Trophy in Wuhan, China.
- Indo-Swiss pair defeated Romanian team of Irina-Camelia Begu and Monica Niculescu.
- It was overall seventh World Tennis Association (WTA) doubles titles won by the Indo-Swiss pair together in this year so far.
- Venus Williams of United States has won the 2015 Wuhan Open Singles Title.
5) Luis Leao Pinto wins 2015 mountain biking race Himalaya Title.
- Portugal’s Luis Leao Pinto won Asia’s premier mountain biking race and got the crown of ‘King of the Himalaya’ for the second time.
- He took time of 27:29:22 to complete 500 km long 7 stages biking race which ended at Shimla, Himachal Pradesh

6) Russia’s Sergey Karjakin won FIDE World Chess Cup 2015.
- Sergey Karjakin emerged victorious in the 2015 FIDE World Chess Cup beating Peter Svidler in the final held in Azerbaijan’s capital, Baku.
- Russia’s Sergey Karjakin and Russia’s Peter Svidler won two classical games each. However, the title was decided in the tie-breakers.
- In the tie-breaker, Karjakin won the opening rapid game, but Svidler came strongly back by winning the next two. However, Karjakin won the fourth rapid game to draw level. In the end, Karjakin took the tie-breaker by 6-4.
7) Raina signs three-year deal with CEAT for bat sponsorship.
- Senior India cricketer Suresh Raina has signed a three-year bat sponsorship contract with leading tyre manufacturer, CEAT Ltd.
- The only Indian cricketer to score a century in all formats of international cricket, will be seen representing CEAT bat in all the versions of cricket.
- As per the contract, facilitated by IOS Sports and Entertainment Pvt Ltd, CEAT logo will prominently feature on the bats used by Raina.
8) Cyclist Deborah Herold became first-ever Indian to win five medals at Taiwan Cup.
- Indian cyclist Deborah Herold became the first ever Indian cyclist to win in women`s elite section after she bagged one gold, three silver and one bronze medal at the 2015 Taiwan Cup held at the Hsin Chu Velodrome, Hsin-Chu city in Taiwan.
- Deborah fetched the gold medal in Taiwan Cup Track International Classic I by defeating the Malaysian top rider. On the other hand, she ended on second place in the keirin event and 500m time trial.

9) Russia retained 2015 Women’s European Volleyball Championship.
- Russia won the Women’s European Volleyball Championship title for the 19th time. In the final played at the Sportpaleis Ahoy Arena in Rotterdam, Russia defeated Netherlands.
