Attractive learning resources must be used to make teaching effective and fruitful. Prof. Syed Ainul Hasan, Vice-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) expressed the view in the inaugural session of a five days online workshop on Developing Learning Resources held yesterday.
Centre for Professional Development of Urdu Medium Teachers (CPDUMT) is organizing the workshop from October 25 to 29.
Prof. Hasan said training is also necessary along with knowledge & consciousness. It is the responsibility of a teacher to find the hidden talents of the students. A teacher has to be impartial, it is the prerequisite. Teachers should keep themselves updated and value the views of the students, he advised.
Prof. Mohd Abdul Sami Siddiqui, Director, Centre spoke about aims and objectives of the workshop. Dr. Ashwani, Associate Professor, Department of Education & Training compered the programme and Dr. Mohd. Ghufran Barkati , Assistant Professor proposed vote of thanks.
In the first technical session, Prof. Siddiqui Mohammad Mahmood, Registrar I/c, MANUU delivered a talk on "Learning Resources - Objectives, Types and Importance". The sessions are being telecast live on Instructional Media Centre MANUU Youtube channel.
