Students From AP To Visit Russia For World skills
Three young talents of Andhra Pradesh have been selected for '2019 WorldSkills' competition to be held in Kazan, Russia. Participants from 27 states in India competed in the India Skills National Competition 2018 recently that showcased the skilled youth in India. The competitions were inaugurated on October 2, followed by the Skills Competition held at Aero City Grounds in New Delhi from October 3 to 6.
More than 400 participants across 27 states showcased their talent, including 46 skills, 10 traditional skills and four demo skills projects. APSSDC MD and CEO K. Sambasiva Rao praised the medalists and the participants. 15 youngsters participated from AP state in 10 trades with the support of Andhra Pradesh State Skill Development Corporation (APSSDC) and won medals in three disciplines.
Patnala Venu Gopala Rao trained at Visakha Skill Development Institute achieved the first gold medal in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning. The organizers handed over a cash prize of one lakh to him. B. Sai Manikanta and D.Lokesh Chavan,1st year students in KL University were awarded a silver medal in mobile robotics; Regale Sai Akhil, studying in KL University, won a bronze in IT network and administration and B. Pranith Kumar Reddy, studying in JNTUA Pullivendula, qualified for IT software solutions for business division and won a medal.
