The University Grants Commission (UGC) team is going to visit the Adikavi Nannaya University (ANUR) on Thursday and Friday over granting of 12-B accreditation to the university. The ANUR began functioning at the Govt. Arts College campus, Rajamahendravaram, in April 2006. It was later shifted to the land allotted by the government at Velugu-banda in Rajanagaram mandal in 2014.
In a span of three years, the university has developed tremendously in infrastructure. Now, ANUR is the largest university in the State in terms of student intake, with more than 1.5 lakh of students from over 450 colleges.
“We got two PG Centres, pharmacy and engineering colleges back from Andhra University recently,”said Vice-Chancellor Prof. M. Mutyala Naidu.
