The Telangana Government is considering changing the name of the entrance exam conducted for engineering and pharmacy admissions in the state, EAMCET. Since 2017, the government has been conducting admissions to medical seats through NEET, abolishing the medical seat recruitment through EAMCET. As a result, the name Medical has also been removed from the EAMCET titles. The government has discussed the need to remove the name Medical from the EAMCET titles at the state level. In addition to removing the letter M from EAMCET, it has been suggested that the government may consider renaming it as TSEAPCET or TSEAMCET, as indicated in the statements.
