TS TRT / DSC Notification 2017

Telangana State TRT (DSC) Notification 2017, TSPSC is going to release on 19.10.2017 by Telangana Department of School Education, Telangana State. School Education Department, Government of Telangana has issued a G.O.Ms.No:25 on 10.10.2017 which belongs to recruitment of teacher vacancies in Telangana State.

As per the G.O. the synopsis was as follows:
  • DSC Name was replaced by TRT (Teacher recruitment test).
  • TRT (Teacher recruitment test) is conducted for filling up of teacher posts in Government Schools, Zilla Praja Parishad Schools and Mandal Praja Parishad Schools.
  • TRT exam will be conducted by Telangana State Public Service Commission constituted by the Government of Telangana, as per the Orders issued by the Telangana State Government in G.O. No.19,;
  • Selection of candidates is be on the basis of combined marks secured in the Main Examination (TRT Examination) to be conducted by the TSPSC (80%) and TET (20%) in all categories of posts except SA (Physical Education) and PET for which selection shall be 100% based on the Main Examination conducted by TSPSC
  • The Vacancies are for SGT (Secondary Grade Teacher), SA (School Assistants other subjects), LPT (Language Pandits),PET (Physical education teacher)
  • The actual Teacher recruitment test (TRT) notification will be released by TSPSC.
  • The rules for Selection are as follows:
    ** The rule of reservation to local candidates is applicable
    ** The rule of special representation in the matter of appointment of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Physically Challenged, Ex-service Men and Women is applicable
    ** No Physically Challenged quota should be extended for the School Assistant (Physical Education) and Physical Education Teacher Posts
    **Physical Education Teacher should be filled with eligible meritorious candidates as per the Government Memo.No.1351/Ser.VI/2008-2, dated. 01.04.2008.
    **The number of candidates selected shall be equivalent to the number of vacancies notified. There shall be no waiting list and posts if any unfilled for any reason whatsoever shall be carried forward for future recruitment.

Good news for all those who are looking for an opportunity to develop a career in the field of teaching. Government of Telangana is going to release a notification for TS Teachers recruitment for the posts of School Assistants (SA), SGT(Secondary Grade Teachers), Language pundit, Model school & Physical Education Teachers (PET) and invites the application from the desirous candidates for the same.

This is the first time that Telangana state is conducting TRT / DSC recruitment exam after bifurcation of states. It was last conducted by the Government of AP in 2014-15. Since then all the TET qualified B.Ed graduates are eagerly waiting for Telangana (TS) TRT / DSC Notification. The Government is said to release the TS TRT / DSC Notification 2017 for 8727teacher posts. The actual number of vacancies or the number of teachers required by the government is far more than 8727. According to sources almost 10,000 posts are vaccant but TS Government said to release TS DSC notification in different phases. In the 1st phase Government has released the TS TRT/ DSC Notification 2017 for 8,727 posts.

TS TRT / DSC Notification 2017 is about to release by this time, however it got postponed due to various factors. The first date which the Telangana government proposed to release Telangana DSC Notification was on August 4th 2017 along with TS TET Results, second date was August 17th 2017, and the final expected date was in September 1st week 2017. As per the commitment by Telangana government made to supreme court the process of recruitment for teachers has to commenced on or before September 11th 2017 so the chances of getting DSC Notification in Telangana are more.


What is TRT?

TRT means Teacher Recruitment Test earlier it was DSC (District Selection Committee), an entrance exam conducted for the recruitment of teachers by the state government.

Method of Reruitment

The Recruitment shall be through a selection process as decided by the Telangana State Public Service Commission (TSPSC). Out of the Total Marks of Teacher Recruitment Test, 20% weightage shall be for Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) score for all the posts, except for School Assistant (Physical Education) and Physical Education Teacher.

For the purpose of selection of Teachers under these Rules, scores obtained in Andhra Pradesh Teacher Eligibility Test (APTET) / Telangana Teacher Eligibility Test (TSTET) / Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) with the qualifying marks as given below shall only be considered:

NOTE: The APTET scores obtained before the appointed day of 02.06.2014 shall only be considered. Selection of candidates shall be on the basis of combined marks secured in the Main Examination to be conducted by the TSPSC (80%) and TET (20%) in all categories of posts except SA (Physical Education) and PET for which selection shall be 100% based on the Main Examination conducted by TSPSC only.

WHO CAN WRITE TRT / DSC? (OR) WHAT IS THE ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA FOR TRT / DSC?

The important criteria to be eligible for TS TRT / DSC recruitment exam is - the candidate must be qualified in TS TET recruitment exam with 60% marks for general category, 50% marks for BC & 40% marks for SC/STs.

Candidates who wish to apply for TS TRT / DSC 2017 in SGT category has to possess the above said marks in TS TET Paper - I & candidates who wish to go for SA or Language Pandit should possess the marks in TS TET Paper - II.

Educational Qualifications required for TS DSC 2017:

  • Qualification required for SGT (Secondary Grade Teacher):
    1. Qualified in TET Paper - I.
    2. Two Year Intermediate Certificate issued by Govt. of Telangana or AP or any other equivalent certificate issued by Board of Intermediate.
    3. Two Year D.Ed certificate issued by Board of Director of Government Examinations (DGE), Telangana or AP or any other equivalent certificate issued by the board.
  • Qualification required for SA (School Assistant):
    1. Qualified in TET Paper - II.
    2. Two Year Intermediate Certificate issued by Govt. of Telangana or AP or any other equivalent certificate issued by Board of Intermediate.
    3. Graduation depending on the subject the candidate selects.
      • School Assistant (Mathematics): Bachelor's Degree with Mathematics / Applied Mathematics / Statistics as the main subject OR any of the above said subjects as optional and a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Mathematics as the chosen methodology. Along with this the candidate must have studied mathematics in his/her Intermediate Level of Education.
      • School Assistant (Physical Sciences): Bachelor's Degree with at least two of the following subjects as optional subjects: Physics / Applied Physics / Engineering Physics & Instrumentation and Chemistry / Applied Chemistry / Industrial Chemistry / Pharmaceutical Chemistry / Medicinal Chemistry / Bio-Chemistry / Geology (OR) Physics or Chemistry as their main subjects and a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Physical Science / Physics / Chemistry / Science as the chosen methodology. Along with this the candidate must have studied Physics and Chemistry in his/her Intermediate Level of Education.
      • School Assistant (Biological Science): Bachelor's Degree with Botany and Zoology as optional subjects or one of the two as main and the other as subsidiary subject or vice versa and a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Public Health / Human Genetics / Genetics / Bio-chemistry / Environment Sciences / Micro-biology / Bio-Technology / Industrial Micro-biology / Agriculture/ Food Technology/ Fisheries/ Nutrition/ geology and a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Biological Science / Natural Sciences / Science / Botany / Zoology as the chosen methodology. Along with this the candidate must have studied Botany and Zoology in his/her Intermediate.
      • School Assistant (Social Studies): Bachelor's Degree with at least two of the following subjects as optional subjects: History / Economics / Geography / Political Science (v) Public Administration (vi) Sociology / Commerce / Politics / Social Anthropology / Ancient Indian History Culture & Archaeology / Anthropology / Social Work / Philosophy and / Psychology (OR) any one of them as their main subject and other as a subsidiary subject.
        (OR)
        B. Com with any four of the following six subjects: (a)Economics / Business Economics (b) Business Organization and Management (c) Statistics / Business Statistics / Quantitative Techniques (d) Financial Services, Banking and Insurance (e) Accountancy / Financial Accounting (f) Fundamentals of Information Technology And a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Social Studies / Social Sciences / Geography/ History / Politics Political Science/ Economics as a chosen methodology. Along with this the candidate must have studied at least two of the subjects i.e., Civics, Economics, Commerce, History and Geography Intermediate Level.
      • School Assistant (English): Bachelor's Degree with English as their core subject of study or even as an optional subject (OR) Post Graduate Degree with English as their core subject along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with English as their chosen methodology.
      • School Assistant (Telugu): Bachelor's Degree with Telugu as their core subject of study or even as an optional subject (OR) Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Telugu (B.O.L) (OR) Post Graduate Degree with Telugu as their core subject along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Telugu as their chosen methodology.
      • School Assistant (Hindi): Bachelor's Degree with Hindi as their core subject of study /Bachelor's degree in oriental language in Hindi/Praveena of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha or Vidwan of Hindi Prachara Sabha/Post graduate Degree in Hindi with training qualification/any equivalent qualification in Hindi along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Telugu as their chosen methodology.
    4. In the same manner candidates need to possess a relevant Bachelor's Degree with the relevant subject or language as their core subject of study to apply for the post of School Assistant.
    5. For Eg., for SA Urdu their core subject of study should be Urdu.
  • Qualification required for Language Pandit:
    1. Qualified in TET Paper - II.
    2. Two Year Intermediate Certificate issued by Govt. of Telangana or AP or any other equivalent certificate issued by Board of Intermediate.
    3. Graduation depending on the subject the candidate selects.
      • TELUGU: Bachelor's Degree with Telugu as their core subject of study or even as an optional subject or Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Telugu (B.O.L) or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Telugu as their chosen methodology (OR) Telugu Pandit Training or its equivalent.
      • HINDI: Bachelor's Degree with Hindi as their core subject of study or even as an optional subject or Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Hindi (B.O.L) or Praveena of Dakshina Bharat Hindi Prachar Sabha or Vidwan of Hindi Prachara Sabha, Hyderabad or any other equivalent recognized qualification in Hindi or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in Hindi along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Hindi as their chosen methodology.
      • URDU: Bachelor's Degree with Urdu as their core subject of or even as an optional subject or Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Urdu (B.O.L) or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in Urdu along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Urdu as their chosen methodology or Urdu Pandit Training or its equivalent.
      • KANNADA: Bachelor's Degree with Kannada as their core subject of or even as an optional subject or Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Kannada (B.O.L) or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in Kannada along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Kannada as their chosen methodology or Kannada Pandit Training or its equivalent.
      • ORIYA: Bachelor's Degree with Oriya as their core subject of or even as an optional subject or Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Oriya (B.O.L) or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in Oriya along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Oriya as their chosen methodology or Oriya Pandit Training or its equivalent.
      • TAMIL: Bachelor's Degree with Tamil as their core subject of or even as an optional subject or Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Tamil (B.O.L) or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in Tamil along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Tamil as their chosen methodology or Tamil Pandit Training or its equivalent.
      • SANSKRIT: Bachelor's Degree with Sanskrit as their core subject of or even as an optional subject or Bachelor's Degree in Oriental Language in Sanskrit (B.O.L) or its equivalent or a Post Graduate Degree in Sanskrit along with a B.Ed certificate issued by Telangana or AP State Council of Higher Education with Sanskrit as their chosen methodology or Sanskrit Pandit Training or its equivalent.
  • Qualification required for Physical Education Teacher (PET):
    1. Qualified in TET Paper - II.
    2. Two Year Intermediate Certificate issued by Govt. of Telangana or AP or any other equivalent certificate issued by Board of Intermediate.
    3. Bachelor's Degree or equivalent certificate along with a B.P.Ed or M.P.Ed recognized by NCTE.
  • Qualification required for the post of Teacher in Schools for Blind/ Deaf and Dumb (Special Schools) :
    1. Qualified in TET Paper - II.
    2. Two Year Intermediate Certificate issued by Govt. of Telangana or AP or any other equivalent certificate issued by Board of Intermediate.
    3. Two Year D.Ed Special Education certificate or B.Ed Special Education certificate issued by Board of Director of Government Examinations (DGE), Telangana or AP or any other equivalent certificate issued by the board in the below given manner:

  • NOTE:Bachelor's Degree or Post Graduation in all the above mentioned cases must be from a University recognised by UGC with 50% marks in either Graduation or Post Graduation (In case of SC / ST / BC / Differently abled candidates, the minimum marks shall be 45%).

Age Limit to apply for TS TRT / DSC 2017:

Minimum age of the candidate to apply for TS DSC 2017 is 18 and the maximum age limit is 40 for the candidates who belong to general category. For other categories it is as follows:
  • For SC/ST & BC Candidates - 45 years
  • For PH candidates - 50 years

How to apply for TS TRT / DSC 2017?

TS TRT / DSC 2017 can be applied online through the official website www.tspsc.gov.in.

The application form for TS TRT / DSC 2017 exam will be available in www.tspsc.gov.in under the recruitment category. It can be filled and submitted online itself.

Application Fee of Rs.250/- should be paid either online or at any MeeSeva or TSOnline or CSC centers after which an ID will be generated which need to be submitted at the time of applying for TS TRT / DSC 2017.

Things to keep ready before filling up the TS TRT / DSC 2017 Application form:
  • Scanned copy of your passport size photograph.
  • Scanned copy of your signature.
  • Details of your academics.
  • Any of your ID and address proofs if necessary.


NOTE: Before uploading your photo and signature, please read the instructions carefully as there will be some specifications regarding the file size and format mentioned in the official website.

Once you are ready will all your details with photo and signature start filling up the TS DSC 2017 application form. There will be no paper work needed; everything can be done online itself.

Fill in all your personal details like Name, Father's Name, DOB, etc. carefully as mentioned in your ID proof.

After entering all the personal details upload the scanned copies of your photo and signature.

Once you are done with entering your personal details, select the stream for which you are applying based on your educational qualifications mentioned above. Please read the eligibility section carefully before selecting your stream of interest in DSC i.e., SGT or SA or Language Pandit or any stream you prefer.

Check if you have filled all the mandatory fields with correct data.

After rechecking the filled application form click on the submit button. You will also find a review button which will allow you to review the application form you filled before you submit it. If at all you have any corrections to be made, the application form can be edited. But it should be done before submitting. After a proper review submit the application form.

NOTE: Before you start filling the TS DSC 2017 application for read all the instructions carefully mentioned in the official site. Once the application form is submitted you can download the form for your reference in which you will be provided with a unique ID, Application Number with the help of which you can download your TS DSC 2017 hall ticket when released.

SELECTION CRITERIA

  1. The rule of reservation to local candidates is applicable and the provisions of Telangana Public Employment (Organisation of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order (Presidential Order) 1975 and amendments there to shall be followed strictly.
  2. The rule of special representation in the matter of appointment of candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Backward Classes, Physically Challenged, Ex-service Men and Women is applicable as per the Telangana State and Subordinate Service Rules, 1996 as amended from time to time.
  3. No Physically Challenged quota should be extended for the School Assistant (Physical Education) and Physical Education Teacher Posts as the said quota is not considered for admission into the Physical Education Training courses. The posts earmarked for School Assistant (Physical Education) and Physical Education Teacher should be filled with eligible meritorious candidates as per the Government Memo.No.1351/Ser.VI/2008-2, dated. 01.04.2008.
  4. The number of candidates selected shall be equivalent to the number of vacancies notified. There shall be no waiting list and posts if any unfilled for any reason whatsoever shall be carried forward for future recruitment.

HOW WILL THE SLECTED CANDIDATES BE APPROCAED?

The TSPSC shall approach the list of selected candidates prepared separately for each unit of appointment to the Appointing Authority concerned, along with the applications of the candidates, who in turn shall issue the Appointment Orders as per the relevant Rules and Posting Orders to the selected candidates as per the choice exercised by the selected candidates in the counselling for the schools under the control of the Appointing Authority. Detailed guidelines regarding the counselling procedures etc., will be issued separately.

The qualifications prescribed for Direct Recruitment of the Teachers vide G.O.Ms.No.11, School Education(Ser.II)Department, dated 23.1.2009 and G.O.Ms.No.12, School Education(Ser.II) Department, dated 23.1.2009 shall stand amended by the qualifications prescribed for the Direct Recruitment of the Teachers in these Rules(Rule-4).

Notwithstanding any provisions to the contrary contained in any other rules relating to the recruitment of Teachers, the provisions of these rules shall prevail and be applicable for the purpose of recruitment of Teachers, 2017.
