Central Board of Secondary Education will declare JEE Main 2018 result on April 30. Tthe result of JEE Main 2018 will be declared online separately for Paper I and Paper II. JEE Main result 2018 for Paper II will be announced on May 31. JEE main examination is for to get the admissions in the prestigious institutes like IITs, NITs and other private colleges.

JEE Main Result 2018 cut off marks:

For academic year 2018-19, as many as 2, 24,000 top candidates of JEE Main 2018 will be qualified for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018. Till 2017, only top 2, 20,000 candidates of JEE Main were eligible to take JEE Advanced. From this academic year cut off marks are increased to 98 marks

How to check JEE Main Result 2018?

  • Click on the JEE Main 2018 result link on Manabadi.co.in website
  • Enter your JEE Main 2018 roll number and date of birth
  • Now click on Submit button
  • You can now see your JEE Main score, All India Rank and category rank, and qualifying status for JEE Advanced 2018.
  • Download and Print the JEE Main results for feature reference

How to calculate JEE Main score and rank?

The rank of JEE Main 2018 will only be determined on the basis of marks secured in the examination.
The current process to calculate rank will be as below:
  • For each correct answer 4 marks will be allocated to the candidates.
  • For marking incorrect response, 1 marks will be deducted.
  • When all the questions will be checked, and marks will be allocated or deducted, the final score of the candidate will be determined.
  • The CBSE will then determine JEE Main Cutoff, on the basis of various factors. As per it and the score secured by the candidates, merit/rank will be allocated.

Formula to calculate JEE Main Score

JEE Main Score = 4 marks x number of correct answers - number of wrong answers x 1

Calculating JEE Main rank - The actual scores of candidates in JEE Main 2018 will be used to determine the ranks of the engineering entrance test. Your rank will be affected directly by the score you secure in the test. This means that the higher your score, the higher will be your rank of JEE Main 2018. Also, if two or more candidates score equal marks, then tie-breaking rule or inter-se-merit will be applicable.

How to check qualified or not for JEE Advanced:

  1. While checking their JEE Main result, the candidates must download their result, score card/rank card, as this will be needed for admissions.
  2. Along with the result of JEE Main 2018, the candidates must also check their qualifying status for JEE Advanced 2018
  3. Candidates must check if they are among the top 2,24,000 candidates of JEE Main 2018 who have qualified for appearing in JEE Advanced.
  4. If they have, then they have to register for appearing in JEE Advanced 2018 tentatively in first week of May 2018.
  5. In case candidates do not figure out in the top 2,24,000 candidates shortlisted for JEE Advanced from JEE Main, then candidates must also start applying for state level counseling/admission processes and university level admission wherein they accept JEE Main score.

JEE Main Rank List 2018

JEE Main 2018 rank list will be available for candidates along with the result of JEE Main. After checking their JEE Main result, candidates can get access to their All India Ranks (AIRs).
The rank list of JEE Main 2018 will reflect All India Ranks and All India Category Ranks of the candidates. All India Ranks are used for admissions, while category ranks are just for information purpose. The rank list will be used by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) for admission purposes.
