According to a notification released on July 5, 2021, it would decrease the syllabus, conduct board examinations twice a year in different formats, and maintain continuous recording of internal assessment scores in order to provide a variety of choices for calculating a final score at the end of the year.
This follows widespread uncertainty during the 2020-21 academic year, when the second wave of COVID-19 caused the postponement and then cancellation of year-end board examinations, with CBSE eventually requesting that schools calculate final results using a combination of Class 10, 11, and 12 scores as well as internal marks.
CBSE Declares New Scheme For Class 10:

To guarantee a fair distribution of marks, the CBSE will release recommendations to make internal assessments, practical’s, and project work more credible and authentic. According to the announcement, schools must build a student profile for all assessments completed during the year and keep the documentation in digital format, with marks uploaded onto CBSE's IT platform.
If both term exams are held, the final theory grades will be shared evenly between them. If the epidemic entices all schools to close in November and December, the first-term exams will be held online or at home, with less weighting in the final scores.
