The McGraw Fellowships for Business Journalism for International Students in USA, 2017

INTRODUCTION

The McGraw Center for Business Journalism is pleased to offer up to sixteen veteran journalists fellowships for Business Journalism. Foreign and American journalists are eligible to apply for these fellowships.

The aim of the McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism is to support in-depth, ambitious coverage of critical issues related to the global economy and business.

Mission at the Harold W. McGraw, Jr. Center for Business Journalism is to enhance the quality and depth of business and economic news coverage.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for scholarship:
Scholarships are available for Journalists.
Scholarships are available for Business Journalism.

The McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism is open to anyone with at least five years professional experience in journalism. Freelance journalists, as well as reporters and editors currently working at a news organization, may apply.

Nationality: Both foreign and American journalists are eligible to apply for these scholarships.

College Admission Requirement
Entrance Requirements: The McGraw Fellowship for Business Journalism is open to anyone with at least five years professional experience in journalism.
English language Requirements: Applicants from outside the home country will often need to meet specific English language/other language requirements in order to be able to study there.

PAY PACKAGE

The stipend - $5,000 a month for up to three months - is intended to cover travel and research expenses incurred in reporting the stories and to assist with the Fellows living expenses. Where travel or other expenses are exceptionally high, we will consider covering additional expenses approved in advance.
If you are receiving support from another grant or foundation for the story you are proposing, please include that in your application.
Scholarship can be taken in the USA (New York) Important Dates: Applications will generally be accepted twice a year - in the spring and the fall. The upcoming fall deadline is December 15, 2016; spring applications will be due May 31, 2017. However, we will consider time-sensitive projects on a case-by-case basis outside of the deadline periods
