Computer Science Graduate Scholarship at Tennessee Tech University, USA

INTRODUCTION

Tennessee Tech University, is inviting application for Graduate Scholarship in Computer Science for the 2017-2018 academic year.

TTU is located in beautiful Cookeville, Tennessee, with a low cost of living, and close proximity to both Nashville and Knoxville.

In response to a critical shortage in the national demand for highly trained professionals in cybersecurity, the National Science Foundation (NSF) has awarded Tennessee Tech University (TTU) $4 million in a grant through their CyberCorps: Scholarship for Service (SFS) program. As part of this program, senior personnel Dr. William (Bill) Eberle is looking for a qualified applicant to conduct research in his lab on novel data mining techniques in the field of cyber-security starting Spring/Fall 2017 as part of the students graduate program of study.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Scholarships are available for pursuing grduate Programme.

Scholarships are awarded to study business administration.
The student is expected to take an active role in Cybersecurity Education, Research and Outreach Center (CEROC) s education/outreach activities in consultation with Dr. Eberle and CEROC Director/PI Dr. Ambareen Siraj. Dr. Eberle is looking for a student with a strong programming background (C/C++/Java/Python), solid communication skills, and (preferred) research experience. Applicants must have obtained their undergraduate degree in Computer Science (or related degree), and be admitted into the graduate program at TTU starting January/August 2017. Student MUST be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain a security clearance upon completion of their degree.

PAY PACKAGE

Includes full tuition, fees, health insurance, books, and an annual stipend of $34,000 for two years.

Scores and transcripts for scholarship review must meet the January 15th scholarship deadline for supporting documents. Students who qualify may receive one of the following Admissions Scholarships.
