Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarships at University of Antwerp in Belgium, 2017-2018

INTRODUCTION

Applications are invited for Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree Scholarships at the University of Antwerp. The programme offers a scientifically well-founded training in the fields of Economics of Globalisation, International Trade, European Economic Integration. The objective of the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree EGEI is to develop competences in the core subjects of the programme for European and non-European economics students. Erasmus+ is the EUs programme to support education, training, youth and sport in Europe. Its budget of ?14.7 billion will provide opportunities for over 4 million Europeans to study, train gain experience, and volunteers abroad. It is essentially geared to students interested in careers in research, in government and international organisations, and in the research and strategy departments of large banks and industrial and commercial corporations. It provides a profound insight into the current scientific knowledge in these fields and is supported by scientific research at the partner universities, both individually and in a network context. The setup of the programme is such that students are constantly operating in an international environment. Moreover, the content of the programme is eminently international (globalisation and European integration).

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Scholarship is awarded for pursuing masters programme. Scholarship is available in the fields of Economics of Globalisation, International Trade, European Economic Integration. Scholarship can be taken in Belgium The eligibility criteria for students are set up commonly by all partner institutions. The programme is open to students: who have earned 240 ECTS credits in an economics or applied economics university study programme, or who have a bachelors degree considered equivalent by the Joint Studies Board and who are fluent in English, being able to provide a proof of an iBT TOEFL level of minimum 90 (or its equivalent in another TOEFL score system) or of an IELTS certificate with a minimum of 6.5, or of any other document that is considered to be equivalent. Applicants enrolled in the final year of their academic programme should submit an official letter in English from their university confirming that they are expected to finalise their course at the end of the current academic year, and submit up-to-date authenticated transcripts of results for each year of study.

PAY PACKAGE

Pay Package: During the academic year 2017-2018 students move as a group to three different universities in three different countries: To Universit�© Lille 1, Sciences et Technologies (FR) for the first term To Universiteit Antwerpen (BE) for the second term To Vysok�¡ skola ekonomick�¡ v Praze (CZ) for the third term Programme country students pay a tuition fee of 3,600 euros. Partner country students pay a tuition fee of 9,000 euros. Important Dates: One for students who apply for admission into the programme with an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree student scholarship. The deadline is 31st December. One for students who apply for admission without an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree student scholarship. The deadline is 15th June.
