INTRODUCTION
Newcastle University is offering 15 overseas research scholarships in 2017-18 academic year. Tuition fee scholarships of typically �£7,800 - �£11,700 per year. The award covers the difference between fees for UK/EU students and international students.

This is usually a test score of IELTS 6.5 or equivalent, but requirements can vary between IELTS 6.0 to 8.0. All students need at least 5.5 in each sub-skill, or equivalent.

Applicants could be eligible to apply for a NUORS award if:
. Applicants have been offered a place on a PhD research programme
. Applicants have been assessed as international/overseas for fees purposes, and are wholly or partially self-financing
. Applicants intend to register to start your studies during the 2017/18 academic year.
. Applications for a NUORS award cannot be made for a course that has already been started by a student.
