Marshall Plan Scholarship for Students of Austrian and American Universities, 2016-2017

INTRODUCTION

The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation invites applications for the academic year 2016/2017. Scholarships are open to students of Austrian and American Universities, studying science and engineering and have an outstanding record of achievement in their field of study and plan to stay abroad at least for three months. The aim is a transfer of knowledge between the USA and Austria. Research work is thereby commissioned and cooperation encouraged in research projects. The Austrian Marshall Plan Foundation is an endowment established according to Federal legislation for foundations and funds. The Foundation was initiated with a financial allocation from the ERP Fund to the sum of 30 million schillings.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Scholarships are available for pursuing the doctoral programme. Participants applying for a scholarship are students of Austrian and American Universities, studying science and engineering, have an outstanding record of achievement in their field of study and plan to stay abroad at least for three months. Nationality: Students of Austrian and American Universities can apply for Marshall Plan Scholarship.

CAREER PROSPECTS

College Admission Requirement Entrance Requirement: Applicants interested in pursuing a doctorate with an emphasis in those areas must have a completed degree (M.A. or the equivalent) with above average marks.

PAY PACKAGE

The Foundations contribution consists of a minimum of EUR 3.000,- and a maximum of EUR10.000,- granted to a single applicant. Scholarship can be taken in Austria and USA Important Dates: The application deadline is October 31, 2016.
