Bournemouth University Scholarships for International Students in UK, 2017

INTRODUCTION

Bournemouth University Scholarships are available for January 2017 intake. These scholarships are open to international students for pursuing the postgraduate program. These scholarships are designed to reward excellence in all its forms, giving students additional support while they are studying. Bournemouth University is a public university in Bournemouth, Dorset, England, with its main campus situated in neighboring Poole. The university was founded in 1992 as one of the new universities, however, the origins of its predecessor date back to the early 1900s. If English is not applicants first language, they will have to provide evidence that they have been assessed in all four components of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required standard for a degree course.

COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

Scholarships are available for pursuing the postgraduate program. . Academic Excellence Scholarship: A minimum of 65% in Bachelors degree, or an upper second-class Honours degree from a UK university, or equivalent. . Faculty of Management Executive Deans Scholarship (BU Business School): Full-time applicants from Russia, Turkey, Nigeria, China and South Korea. . Faculty of Management Executive Deans ASEAN Scholarship: Full-time applicants from Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Myanmar, Cambodia, Lao PDR and Brunei Darussalam. . Executive Deans Scholarship - Faculty of Management (Department of Tourism and Hospitality): Any applicant for a full-time Tourism and Hospitality Masters degree. . BU Music Scholarships: Able to demonstrate that you are a talented musician or vocalist and that you have been involved in ensemble activity. . BU Sports Scholarship: High performing sportspeople with the desire to continue to develop. . Nationality: International students can apply for Bournemouth University Scholarships.

CAREER PROSPECTS

College Admission Requirement Entrance Requirement: For entry onto a postgraduate taught course, you will usually need one of the following: A UK Bachelors degree An equivalent professional qualification A relevant international qualification. Students can check the entry requirements applicable to their home country on individual country pages. Test Requirement: No English Language Requirement: If English is not the first language, applicants will have to provide evidence that they have been assessed in all four components of English (reading, writing, speaking and listening) to the required standard for a degree course. As a general rule, to be accepted onto any Bachelors or Masters program, the student will need to have achieved a minimum of IELTS (Academic) 6.0 overall, with no less than 5.5 in each component.
