Australian National University National Parliamentary Fellowships Program in Japan, 2017

INTRODUCTION

The Australian National University (ANU) in association with leading Japanese research institutes is offering National Parliamentary Fellowships Program in Japan for 2017. The National Parliamentary Fellowship Program (NPFP) will select up to two fellows for a three months foreign policy focused research stay in Tokyo, Japan, to commence in mid-February 2017. COURSE AND ELIGIBILITY

This is a three months fellowship program for postgraduate students from Australias Group of Eight (Go8) universities with a strong interest in Japan and Australia-Japan relations. To be eligible to apply for the program, you must: . Be an Australian citizen; . Be a graduate of, or enrolled in a postgraduate program at, a Go8 university, and in excellent academic standing (A-levels, graduated with distinction) by the time of the fellowship; . Have a strong interest and demonstrated previous research or professional experience in international relations, particularly vis-� -vis Japan, or in Japans economic policy or security affairs; . Hold an Australian passport that has at least six months validity when the fellowship commences; and . Have English fluency and advanced Japanese language skills. CAREER PROSPECTS

PAY PACKAGE

The Fellowship will cover the cost of an economy round-trip airfare from Australia to Japan, provided by the Australian Department of Education Asia-bound program, accommodation in central Tokyo, and a monthly scholarship of AUD 640. All other costs will be covered by the student.
